Why is PS3 good?

all the internet junk i can find is ALL anti ps3 and positive everything else. the price is steep. the controllers the same. the design lacking innovation and now im told i have 2 wait another fukin 6 months. im a hxc playstation fan i was first in line for ps2 and psp i was really hoping to stay loyal but i dont really see any point now, i'd much rather stay with sony but everythin else is already avalible or cheaper so what should i do?

Controller is not the same.
From impressions the D-pad and Analog sticks are better, Its got Tilt functions , Triggers , Its wireless, and possible unannounced rumble functions.
If its too much money for you then wait for a price drop.

its not too much money its just irratating that iv saved 100 a month all this time to get a ps3 good games nd a nu tv and now i hav 2 wait longer, its just a bit FFS!!

I'll back that up 1up have already said that the controller is alot better to use, noticibly on the FPS Resistance they played the other day. Without writing an essay to the thread poster - do research, look at all the new screeny's and just enjoy the games Playstation 3 has to offer. Addditions of High Def DVD and the most powerful console ever can't be a bad thing and from what weve seen of the games lately there polishing up nery nicely. Also most of the negativity is coming from America where the 360 is already established this is not the case with Europe and Japan.

There is 17 fps annouced for PS3. Who needs Halo? Even if I had a 360 I rather have Mass Effect, Huxely, or Perfect Dark zero? Halo 1 and 2 is like a Kenndy, all flash and no substance. Halo 3 will no have the best visuals when it comes out

If you have the money to buy both consoles, then id suggest you to buy the 360 this year, which will keep you happy at least until the ps3 launch(the 360 has a good lineup of games this fall).

Yeah I suggest getting a 360 now, what the PS3 has to offer now at launch is nothing compared to what the 360 has available in Fall and early January, so buy a 360 and get a PS3 in March, hey may I suggest getting a Wii too? or instead of getting a 360 this fall, why not get a Wii?

i completely agree with the greg_joker dude iv always been loyal to playstation but now i think whats the point aswell. the 360 and ps3 are so similar tht in the end it will come down to games, but ps3 has very few exclusive games that rnt japanese which is kinda gay whereas the 360 has games such as oblivion one of the best free roaming games ever and dead rising. All of the launch titles for ps3 are now moving to 360 and the blue ray technology is set to be a complete flop, much like the umd's. i want to stay with the ps3 bt im not sure whether its worth it in the end. can someone try and convince ppl in the sme situation to return to sony?
