We know Falcom is working on a jrpg and that they are aiming for a release this year. Even if it isn't released this year we will probably at least get a glimpse of it at TGS.
I imagine we will hear about a lot of upcoming games from companies like SE and LEVEL-5 at TGS. We may not see anything, but I believe we will at least get an idea of what they are working on.
I personally can't wait to see what LEVEL-5 is making for the PSVita.

Some more news about futures PSVita titles and a few more titles to add to the list.
Kojima Productions stated that all future major titles will have PSVita versions(not sure if this includes MGS:Rising). The MGS and ZOE HD Edition bundles (both have the transfarring logo) are also being released on the NGP.
Rayman Origins and Mortal Kombat has also been confirmed for the PSVita.

Sadly, in one of the LBP hands-on videos the PR person states that it won't be a launch title. On a more positive note in one of hands-on videos for Gravity Daze it is stated to be a launch title. It is also stated in an IGN article to be a launch title.
Here is one of the videos stating Gravity Daze is a launch title(at a little past 7:55 in the video).

Here is the video where LBP is stated not to be a launch title(at a little past 9:55 in the video).

The PlayStation Vita seems not only to have a good quantity of launch-line-up games but the actual quality is there too. This is far more impressive than what the PSP, 3DS, Xbox 360 and PS3 could muster at their respective launches.
Also my eyes are turning towards Tokyo Game Show 2011 now. Most of the input for PlayStation Vita has been coming from a Western development perspective - I cannot wait for what the Japanese have in store.
Already from a core-gaming perspective I am feeling Sony has firstly got its priorities sorted. The original PSP was about media and games. The PlayStation Vita will do multi-media sure - but cleverly and wisely Sony has not communicated that yet - because games is where most of their resources are being devoted and that is such a great thing to see.
The Vita is just what the PSP was meant to be and so much more it seems. Sony nailed the internal architecture of this machine and also the wide-array of input control schemes. I don't know what market success the PlayStation Vita will have but my god could it play host to some epic-games.
Seriously guys - getting super-excited for this thing now. I think Level 5/Square-Enix right now will be thinking of bringing their massive franchises to the Vita such as Dragon Quest. And by working on the Vita - it could rub-off on the PS3 side of things in terms of PS3 development in Japan. Yikes - exciting times for sure.Last edited by Wasib; 06-17-2011 at 14:49.

I agree with everything you said ^
This is also the first PlayStation console without the input of old Ken Kutaragi.
From a development view SONY seems to have everything sorted from day one and some studios are already gettings ports up and running and games running between the PS Vita and PS3.
Another note is that the firmware looks feature rich from day one too with applications running in the background and group chatting.Last edited by mickice; 06-17-2011 at 15:47.

If PS3 doesn't catch up with Vita's features (which when you think about it, is pretty embarrassing)... I'll have to buy a Vita :P. I fully expect group chat to be on PS3 this Summer and make sure it all works fine before Vita launch.

The PS3 wont catch up to the vita feature set. SONY has everything here working from the start, much harder to squash in later on.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6323635.html"There will be one launch title for Vita," Reeves told the site. "I am not actually sure if it's been mentioned, so I am not going to, but there will be a launch title for the platform. And then we will do Street Fighter x Tekken, and at least two others. I am sure you can guess what one of them has to be, considering the success in Japan."
Not an official announcement, but it is pretty obvious he is talking about Monster Hunter.
I also wonder what the launch game is going to be, I don't believe they have announced another Vita game besides Street Fighter X Tekken yet have they? It seems there might be a lot of launch titles that have yet to be revealed, at least from Capcom and a few others.Last edited by Ryunosuke; 07-15-2011 at 00:11.
