Question about downloading on the PS3

I have a question about downloading on the PS3.

If I decide to shut down my PS3 in the middle of a download, will it pick the download back up the next time I turn it on?

In other words, if I were to turn my PS3 off at 53% of LittleBigPlanet downloaded, would I have to start all over again?

I'm a little concerned, my PS3 is loud again and there's hot air coming from it. I've never had my PS3 on this long. I started downloading LittleBigPlanet around 4:00 p.m. central and it's almost 9:00 p.m.

Any advice on how to speed this download up is appreciated as well.

it will pick up right where it left off once your restart your ps3, just make sure to click "resume".
