Hang out at the ForzaCentral website for a while, they'll be happy to point out all of the things that are wrong with each car model. But I will admit the actual consistency is much better than previous games.
The earlier games were much more obvious. The worst was the first, but all of them have consistency problems because they outsource the car modeling to two different dev houses, one in Japan, the other in India. I'll let you guess which dev house produces the best car models.
BUT... in previous games, some of the car models were VERY bad.

That's all great but I honestly don't think its the reason why they chose to have that bullet point about Forza 4 - I think the reason is because of the fact that GT5 is FAR from having consistent modeling through-out the game and they want everyone to realize it. Frankly I don't blame them - its a valid point.

Man, if this thread doesn't get a rep+, I don't know when anyone should get one. Great work on this thread, and wow.... What a great game.

Loving the cockpit gameplay video, they've made great strides in that area over Forza 3 it seems. Is there anything know about the World Tour mode? Or the number of real world circuits? Maybe a bit early for that sort of information, but I'm curious anyway.

Don't you think they will probably include most of the cars from Forza 3? I guess they can't include all of them because with the DLC FM3 has over 550 I believe. But I bet they will keep all the Ferraris, Porsches, Lambos, Astons, etc from FM3 and just add to it with newer models.
Once again I am not seeing Porsche, but rather Ruf. I am going to be so unbelievably INCREDIBLY unhappy if Forza 4 doesn't have Porsche. Porsche is by far my favorite car maker and this is the only racing sim that has them.Last edited by gillmanjr; 06-14-2011 at 22:38.

I'm sure they'll keep the vast majority of cars from the previous games.
But these are CONFIRMED cars to be in the game so far, either through official screenshots or gameplay video.
As for Porsche, I would be floored if they weren't in the game. Porsche has been one of the premier manufacturers in every 1st party MS racer from the GT1 in the first Project Gotham games to the Carrera GT and 911s from the Forza games. I cannot believe they've been replaced by RUF, I just think the RUF has been added.

But EA also had Porsches during the other Forza's, so I don't think that's necessarily the reason. I'd say it's still very possible that Forza 4 will have Porsches. Maybe there are some difficulties regarding the license so they can't show them yet, but I can't imagine MS won't pull out all the stops to make sure they can continue to have Porsches in their game.

Are you 100% sure? Where did you get that info?
I have to say...if Porsche is not included I will be so disappointed that my excitement for this game is going to drop dramatically, seriously Porsche being in this game is a HUGE HUGE deal for me.
They can't really keep the "vast majority" of cars from FM3 because there were over 550 if you include the DLC packs, there will probably be a little less than that at the launch of FM4. A lot of SICK cars have come out in the last 2-3 years that will defo be added to FM4, especially the Lambo Aventador, Ferrari FF, new Lotus Esprit, and hopefully the new 2013 model 911s get added (if there is Porsche) or maybe those will be an add on.Last edited by gillmanjr; 06-16-2011 at 00:15.

Based on the talk over at GAF I thought it was something like EA's deal with Porsche wasn't in full effect yet or something back when FM3 was in development so they were working out some shared licensing thing with MS/Turn10. I thought I remember reading not to expect Porsche in any games outside of EA products after FM3.
But I might have misread or misunderstood. I sure hope so at least. RUF doesn't cut it.

Well if EA has exclusive there's nothing we can really do about it. I would be gutted tho too. That's life I guess. Game looks ridiculous anyway. Best racer ever confirmed by me lol

Well then, someone at GAF doesn't know what they are talking about.
MS sub-licensed the use of Porsche cars from EA for previous MS games. They did that for both the PGR and Forza games. EA has held the Porsche license since NFS Porsche Unleashed, but they've always been willing to sub-license the cars out to other games...... For a price.
The question is, does MS want to pay that price? Polyphony Digital didn't, which is why they don't have Porsches. MS has in the past, but they may have decided not to with FM4 in order to save on development costs.
For now, we'll just have to take a wait and see approach. Porsche inclusion is currently neither confirmed nor denied by Turn10.

Look the point of forza 4 as all know is to improve on forza 3 and they have brought old cars back from the brink. Yes they are old but why fix something that is not broke. One last thing, the choice of cars since the release of forza 3 is not the cream crop of the auto world. With a recession in the world a line up of new and well oiled vehicles is not screaming of the fort court...
Just noticed a official pass system turn 10 have put in the game and it must add to the credits you get, for passing without hitting an opponent...Last edited by claud3; 06-19-2011 at 00:38.

i seen a passing system in the game as i stated in one of my posts. I wonder if it will effect your credits at the end of the race and can you turn it of....
