I know these threads are getting pretty old now.
Anyways here's another.
Lulzsec, the infamous group of hackers that were responsible for hacking online databases of Bethesda Software for fun and then decided to give everything back with this little message
“Please find enclosed everything we took, excluding one thing — 200,000+ Brink users. We actually like this company and would like for them to speed up the production of Skyrim, so we’ll give them one less thing to worry about. You’re welcome”
Have now decided to make their next hit. And this time It’s the big one.
Lulzsec decided to hack the CIA online website. That’s right cia.gov was hacked by lulzsec today at 6PM EST and the way they announced it couldn’t be more fitting for their name. They posted a tweet on their account admitting they hacked cia.gov and the reason for it was “for the lulz”. Now these guys… Are ****ing awesome. Like damn, the balls you must have to **** around with small game companies and other small time **** and then go for the big guys like the CIA. I don’t really know much about these guys and I only heard about them after they got tied to the Sony incident but hell theseguys just make me laugh too much.
The CIA site is still down at the moment and I just can’t wait for the reaction to it. Perhaps lulzsec will be taken down by the US government or the alternate option (aka the way I want to see this go down): US government get angry and tries to take down lulzsec, lulzsec gets pissed off that the US can’t take a joke and decided to **** with the status quo even more, resulting in more Lulz
Anyway… Let’s just see how this all really goes down. I reckon Lulzsec next move will be pretty big hit and I can’t wait.

I'm pretty sure they just made a DDoS on it. Not really hacking.

Every one more hack is yet another step towards internet censorship.

I don't think it's so much knowing peoples names, it's the fact that Facebook carries details for your mobile, email, even your debit/credit card details. If Facebook is hacked, all these details will be released. It has nothing to do with not giving a damn because you have nothing to hide, it's the fact that yet more confidential details are at risk.

My personal opinions are not endorsed by PSU. But they should be.
