I would love to see a 4 as well, after all they did say ME3 is designed to be a new beginning.

I am curious though as to how they would continue the franchise considering how 3 ended with the mass relays destroyed, Shepard dead(or is he?) and the reapers gone( that is if the whole ending wasn't a dream) . Maybe a prequel wouldn't be such a bad idea

remember when Liara had a personal convo with Sheppard about putting something in a memory pod to be opened 50,000 years from the current date in the game....I think that ending takes place then...when that grandfather tells the kid a story..now that could easily mean that it's a character who fought with Sheppard..or he read that data message, 50,000 years later and it told the tale of Sheppard..I have a feeling it'll be a sequel..but I don't know what could top the Reapers...they have to have someone who could threaten to blow up a universe with a big bang machine doomsday device...or a planet killer...something bigger than the Reapers

wait till the DLC is out..or you can carry on..see the original endings..and then download the DLC, reload last save and see the extended endings lol

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but it's an interesting take on the choices you get at the end of ME3. Of course massive spoilers all around in this video.

He is basically saying that there is only one true choice if you want Shepard to continue on with his goal, and that choosing any other choice would basically mean your Shepard has succumbed to indoctrination like the many enemies Shepard has already taken down.

Personally I'm excited about the extended endings. They say it'll provide explanation, and closure. Also it'll show the outcomes of our many decisions. Those were some of my biggest problems with the ending. I'm glad Bioware is doing this.

Didn't realize the extended ending was coming so soon. Can't wait, I'll be playing ME3's ending again tomorrow, followed by a whole new playthrough because I made some mistakes during ME3 (involving Miranda and Kasumi).

Has anyone played the new DLC?

Not much more has changed, other than to explain how your crew ended up on the Normandy. Which is emotional, but entirely ridiculous given the situation. Still appreciated.

The only real things to note are; when Shepard first hears Anderson speak to him on the Citadel you can hear a distinct sound akin to that of the Flashbacks in ME1 (not 100% confirmed really, but you have to hear the resemblance), and when the Catalyst first spoke with Shepard he asked "Why are you here?" but now he tells you to "Wake up" (you are not sleeping)

If you shoot/refuse the Catalyst you unmistakably hear Harbinger say "So be it." Then some nonsense spews off about how the Cycle continues. Which is EXACTLY want I wanted the ended to be anyway. I love tragedy, all that work, for nothing. It's bittersweet. HOWEVER, at the end of the credits the Stargazer changes from a human to another Species, and to a female. Looking closely at it some people have discerned that it is actually an Asari. But I'm fairly confident given the context of what she said that it's not true.

EDIT: Actually thinking about it, it probably is an Asari. Going back and looking at what she said, it's never clean cut the last cycle. It makes sense they would have to change it, if Buzz was still there it would imply outright the Cycle was broken. Meaning that both the Destroy and now Refusal options show that the Repears would actually have been destroyed. With the Asari when you refuse so Bioware can still keep you guessing, and after the Destory option when it shows all of life being rebuilt from scratch and still ends with Shepard lying in the rubble.

At the end of the day, absolutely nothing changed in the endings. It just gave you more. And Bioware did a little bit of Fan Service with the 4th option.

Whilst a few plot holes still remain, I really like the new synthesis and control endings. I think synthesis is my favourite.

finally got it to play

i'm about 30% happier about the ending, so i can't really complain. Definitely didn't RUIN anything for me.

I chose the Destroy ending and got the "Shepard Lives!" scene, so I've always been able to imagine Shep and the LI finding their way back to each other again. I'm so glad there wasn't an actual epilogue to mess that up for me lol. Also, they showed the LI in the end after Shep blows up the thing - before the Extended Cut, Shep's last images were of Joker and Liara, neither of whom I romanced and it was kinda awkward

The BEST part though was when they explicitly stated the Mass Relays weren't completely destroyed, just "severely damaged" and would be repaired some day. I was like oh, good, thanks for not COMPLETELY IMPLODING THE GALAXY.

Also, the art. I want some of those stills as a wallpaper. Particularly the one of Miranda looking at the sky and Kasumi in her room.

I love Bioware now, that ending was felt SO much better to me now. Oh man... I didn't expect to cry, but I did... It was like the first time I played MGS3 almost.

Man, that scene when your LI (Tali) puts your name on the KIA monument on the Normandy was really topping the emotions, but then it was followed up with a really big surprise for me. I got the video showing my Shep is alive! I didn't expect that, I didn't think I had enough points.

Bioware is so awesome for doing this, the ending was so much better for me now. I actually want to say that ending was pretty great.

Also, epic finale speech was epic. Thank you Bioware for the awesome fan service. This fixed my biggest issues with the ending, which were lack of closure and lack of seeing the outcomes of our efforts.

Shoot the damn kid?. That's the first thing I did and hell, I was surprised to see the reapers win as a result!.

The game felt more complete. They elaborated more on the origins of the reapers and the catalyst itself. They also answered why they allowed the Crucible to exist. I will watch the other endings when I have the time but that ending I chose lifted a good weight off my chest.

I do like the extended cuts though, Bioware managed to give everyone a little bit of something. No one came out the winner in the DLC, but the refusal fan fiction made it into the ending. They don't deny the Indoctrination theory, and added 2 subtle hints to keep some believing. While giving the vast majority of players a more complete feeling ending.

It's not perfect, but I believe they made the best out of a bad situation.

There is dialog between it and shepherd, and then shepherd saying they wouldnt of been able to do it without it id post it here but after what bioware did to neogaf i dont want to risk it
