Yeah I'm not expecting any radical changes either though I do hope they improve the exploring since ME3 was severly lacking in that department
KOTR II is regarded as the superior game to be honest.

Yeah, but Unreal vs Frostbite, meh, still an engine that displays graphics. Most likely different graphically, but I still expect the basic gameplay to not have changed much. If they dont have a converstaion whell for example Id be shocked.

It will be exciting to see what Bioware can do with the Frosbite 2 engine. I'm sure they'll continue to improve the gun-play mechanics and visual presentation. I hope they add more exploration though and more world hubs (most likely since that was one of the biggest complaints other than you know what).

I really hope they adjust the gunplay on ME1. I got it for cheap on Steam last year and the gunplay leaves much to be desired...

Not going to happen. Game is as is is. Hell they never fixed KOTOR and that had some significant performance issues.

Also Bioware put out an article on the making of the Omega DLC which was released a bit over a week ago.

    http://blog.bioware.com/2012/11/30/d...t-3-omega-dlc/

Hi, my name is Fabrice Condominas, and I am the producer of Mass Effect 3: Omega.

The Mass Effect team has always had a special relationship with Omega, and it’s one of the most talked about locations in our community. Omega is home to the “lawless of the galaxy” as well as its calm, calculated ruler, Aria T’Loak. With the war against the Reapers requiring Omega’s resources, we had a reason to bring Shepard back to the asteroid and renew the Commander’s uneasy alliance with the station’s ruler.

Mass Effect 3: Omega promises an action-packed story that revolves around the themes of relationships and moral choices. During production, we first focused on character relationships. We decided early on to treat Omega, the station itself, as a character from a narrative standpoint. To do this, we needed to define the nature of the relationship between Aria and Omega—it is one of deep love, where passion and jealousy are involved. Aria’s thirst for revenge is not only driven by what typically motivates her—pride and power—and when she is faced with losing Omega, Aria becomes enraged like someone whose lover has been taken away.

To offset Aria, we introduced a calming force by ways of a brand new character: Nyreen. Former Turian military, Nyreen is the exact opposite of Aria—she is in control and pragmatic. Nyreen shares Aria’s dedication to the people of Omega and wants to liberate it from Cerberus occupation, and they also share a common past. This triumvirate between Aria, Nyreen, and Omega is the narrative anchor around which this pack evolves.

In this DLC, Shepard must make decisions based on Aria and Nyreen’s knowledge of Omega while balancing their radically different points of view on how to go about liberating the station. This leads us to moral choices, and we want the player to answer the following question: how far are you willing to go? Omega is a densely populated area, and the choices you make will have a tremendous impact on the civilian population. Following Aria’s vengeful path will certainly be efficient, but it comes at a cost. Nyreen’s approach will protect the people of Omega, but it’s a riskier mission.

Balancing Omega’s gameplay to accommodate Aria’s powerful biotics was a challenge for the BioWare teams in Montreal and Edmonton. Omega is a complex space that made combat design difficult. We also introduced two new enemies: the Rampart mech, a Cerberus killing machine built to control the civilian population, and a second enemy that I’ll let you discover for yourself.

Creating Nyreen, the first female Turian we’ve used as a central character in the series, was also a challenge. We wanted to make sure she would be identifiable as a female Turian on first sight. It took several iterations from our concept and character artists, softening the shape of her head and making subtle changes to her body, to reach that point while staying true to the turian morphology.

All told, we realized that to achieve everything we wanted in this DLC, we had to build a larger pack. The only constraints we had in terms of length were technical, and we were very lucky to have the luxury of developing the experience we wanted. I hope you will enjoy playing Mass Effect 3: Omega as much as we enjoyed working on it.

    Fabrice

    Operation Prophecy:

    http://blog.bioware.com/2012/12/20/operation-prophecy/

    Operation: PROPHECY (December 21st-23rd)

    Event Description:

Our successes on Earth have given us the capability to land materiel in several war zones. However, in order to conceal shipments to the resistance, each delivery needs corresponding strikes on Reaper targets to create a screening distraction. The operations to deliberately gain Reaper attention are extremely high-risk and will require increased numbers to spread thin Reaper reaction forces. For this mission, N7 commanders, wherever possible, will recruit and command supplemental volunteer units: recent graduates of our N7 program and soldiers who bring experience from other branches.

Challenge Goal 1: Extract once on each Earth map (London, Vancouver, and Rio).

Challenge Goal 2: Score 100,000 cumulative points against Reaper enemies.

Challenges can be completed at any difficulty.

Completion of both goals awards the player a Commendation Pack.
Completion of both goals also awards the player a banner, “Hero of the Last Days.”

Posted on February 21, 2013 by BioWare

They say that parting is such sweet sorrow, but as we near the end of the Mass Effect 3 adventure, we’re giving fans a fitting send-off in the form of two final pieces of DLC.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel – Single Player DLC

When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favorite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel. With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel will release worldwide on March 5th on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 (on March 6th on PS3 in Europe). Price: $14.99, 1200MS points and 1200 BW points.

Mass Effect 3: Reckoning – Multiplayer DLC

Smash your enemies with the Biotic Hammer as you lay waste to the battlefield as the Krogan Warlord.

Wield 7 new weapons for multiplayer, including the Geth Spitfire Assault Rifle, Venom Shotgun, Lancer Assault Rifle, and amplify your arsenal with new equipment and weapon mods featuring the Geth Scanner and Assault Rifle Omni-blade.

Mass Effect 3: Reckoning launches at no additional cost worldwide on February 26th on Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 (February 27th on PlayStation 3 in Europe).

    Twitch TV Live Stream Event

Join us on Monday, February 25th at 9:30am PST/6:30pm CET for a Mass Effect 3: Reckoning live stream on Twitch TV! Members from the Mass Effect dev team will be on hand to demo the new multiplayer content and answer your questions about the DLC. We hope to see you there!

Went back and played ME3 for the first time in a about year. I forgot how good this game is.

First thing I did was play the Leviathan DLC, which had a good story. I'll probably buy the Omega DLC now, even though it's supposed to be too combat-heavy.

I still haven't seen the extended ending, so I'm looking forward to that. But I want to play the Omega and Citadel DLC first.

I played the Omega DLC and the first hour of the Citadel DLC.

I thought Omega was definitely fun, and it had some great battle music, but it's not worth $15 since you don't get a new character or a new city. It's just a 3-4 hour mission.

I almost bought the Citadel DLC last night. How is it?

Also, I have not seen the new ending yet. I already beat the game, am I able to load up my game save and see that new ending?

I only just got into it, so I can't really say. I spent a lot of time just going through the new apartment, which is really big and has some easter eggs to find.

But yeah, you get a new apartment, which is cool, and it seems you get access to new Citadel areas.

I played the Citadel DLC for another few hours and I definitely recommend it now. Omega was only a mission, but this DLC also gives you an apartment, a new Citadel area with plenty of mini-games, and a virtual battle arena which is pretty cool. Plus, you can hang out with all your squadmates after the mission.

Be warned though; this is a very comedic and light-hearted DLC.

I loved the Citadel DLC. I liked it so much that I'm re-doing certain parts just to see what the dialogue changes are and I'm constantly and pleasantly surprised.
I talk to myself because I'm the only one whose answers I accept.

I was surprised at how much there is to do in this DLC. The party was really funny and I didn't even realize you can invite your squad-mates individually to your apartment after the party.

The combat simulator is also a cool addition. The fan mail requests/challenges is a very nice touch.
