Volition Games has let loose a juicy new gameplay trailer for Saints Row: The Third, along with some developer commentary from Saints Row writer Drew Holmes. Check it out below. Saints Row: The Third will be in stores this coming November.

I can't tell if I love this game or hate it. My initial concern with this game was that games like this have been beaten to death. Another concern was that I really didn't enjoy Saints Row II, but I got to that game years later than I should have so I'm not sure what my perspective on it would have been had I played it earlier.

Saints Row III seems to be switching things up, though, adding a lot of new things and really taking things over the top. I'm not sure how much this goes along with what Saints Row was initially meant to be, but it actually looks really cool. It does, however, have the potential to be one of those games that is only enjoyable for a short time before the over-the-top gameplay becomes the norm.

Really mixed thoughts about this game, but I am feeling a bit better with that gameplay trailer out.
