The PSU Writers Army is now accepting applications!
We are launching a new program where the aspiring writers in our community will be able to submit their works to the PSU Content team just the same as if you were a paid member of staff. As a PSU Writer, you will be pitching ideas for articles, submit articles to the review and editing process and eventually land on the main page. This is the real deal, a writing gig for PSU for those accepted into the program, subject to the formatting and procedures laid out for our content team.
How do you get into the program you ask? Simple. Go to the link below and submit a brief explanation on why you want to be a part of the crew. Upon acceptance into the program, you will be entered into the community writers usergroup and given access to a private forum where you can discuss ideas with other writer members, the editorial team, and the PSU content folks.

Once accepted, there is a basic guideline of who is running the program and what will be expected. This is very much a dynamic work in progress, so the program WILL evolve and change.
One note, this is NOT a paying job. However, there are some other options offered for compensation if your article makes the cut.
This is YOUR chance to get the news out that YOU want to see. Seize it and let's make PSU stand out!
So draft up a small piece of writing, submit it to the link above and let's get started forming the PSU Writers Army!

Is there a closing date for applications? I'd very much like to participate in this as being a freelance journalist has always been a sort of dream of mine and this would be an excellent stepping stone in to that market. I'll get working on an example peice for you later on today.

My personal opinions are not endorsed by PSU. But they should be.

Just to clarify for everyone: You DO NOT need a writing sample, you just need to write us a paragraph explaining why you want to join the Army and what you can contribute. I know very few of you have actual blogging experience, so the idea of sending us an introduction is to make sure you can follow directions and write a relatively clean copy.
One final note: I am from the U.S. and follow a more traditional AP style, while Mike (who is also going to work with you) is from the U.K. and follows their crazy "flavour"-style of English
So, no worries where you are from, we can work with you!

I've sent an email regarding my application. When will I be hearing back?

My personal opinions are not endorsed by PSU. But they should be.

Would you guys be interested in a review of a source engine mod for PC? There will be private play tests specifically for reviewers with the developers showing how it works etc.
The game is in RC1 stage so its almost ready for release.
