http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...imon_detailed/The latest issue of V Jump lists the game's full name as "Digimon World Reigitize." PSP's first Digimon game has the genre "Digital Growth RPG."
The game promises a new story set in a strange space that mixes the real and cyber worlds. You'll build up your Digimon partners for intense battles.
Characters introduced in the magazine include the main character and his first partner Digimon, the flame breathing Agumon who evolves into the fierce Greymon. The main character is a 14-year-old boy who likes to ride motorcycles. He finds himself stuck in the digital world, where he relies on a device, attached to his shoulder, that aids in his interaction with the Digimon.
Jump shows just a few screens from the game. One screen depicts a behind-the-shoulder view of the main character and Agumon walking through a detailed city. This is listed as the "digital world," where Digimon live. The citiscape scene from the teaser site is also in the magazine. It's listed as the "real world," which is where the main character lives. We'll apparently learn the relationship between the two worlds in later updates.
Digimon World Reigitize should see its full online announcement later this week. We're going to have to wait a bit to play it, though, as Jump lists the game as a year 2012 release.

Reminds me a lot of the first Digimon World game for some reason, which I really liked.
I really hope this gets localised. Digimon games seem to have a good track record of being released outside of Japan, at least for the Digimon World games.
I could be getting my hopes up, but it seems these days the only way to get games released outside of Japan is to get your hopes up and show a lot of interest.
Perhaps the PSVita will increase the chance it is released outside of Japan.

Lost interest in Digimon after the first two series when they got rid of the original characters.
Trophy-licious!

This appears to be going back to the original characters(Digimon) before they had some many forms, fusions(forgot what it was called), etc.
I hope they put the first Digimon World on PSN I would like to play it again(without spending hundreds for the game itself).Last edited by Ryunosuke; 07-21-2011 at 10:59.

I want to be excited about this, cause I loved digimon 1, but every digimon game after 1 has had some pretty bad bugs/issues that made the games hard to beat. :/

Thats the one bro, my youngest brother love that game back in the day. It's kinda like a my first RPG. Simple quests, fun mini games and of course evolving digimon.
Whenever I played the game tho my digimon always evolved into that poop monster in the later stages. It never evolved into anything cool.

Haha yeah It was one of my first RPG kind of games as well.
I only very rarely got a decent digimon, but now that I've started again (I am playing right now) I'm a BIT better at it :P
The poop digimon and Numemon I used to get ALL THE TIME. So frustrating... too many care mistakes.
I hope this new PSP game is similar in regards to raising digimon, but not as brutally hard...

If you liked the first one, you may consider giving this one a try since it is being made by a different different developer than the other Digimon games. It appears this one is going to be developed by tri-Crescendo.
I don't know if this increases the chance of it being localized or not. I believe every game developed by tri-Crescendo has been localized.
http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/22...ld-redigitize/In their previous blog post, Namco Bandai said they’d reveal the game’s developer soon. They’ve now revealed the developer to be Tri-Crescendo, who developed Eternal Sonata and Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon.
Re
igitize is a return to the start of the Digimon World series. Namco Bandai say that the original Digimon World is the most praised by fans, which is why Re
igitize will contain elements from it.

I had Digimon World on PS1 but never really got into it. Wish I had now. I'll give this a shot when it releases.

Lol! man, i hated getting Numemon. The entire time i played the first one,i only got two cool digimon. Angemon and Meramon both were by accident and i dont how it happened. I had this one friend who could get me any monster i wanted and all i had to do was loan him my memory card for a couple of days. he brought me back metalgreymon once i was so hype...metalgreymon kicked the bucket that same afternoon
I had no intentions of becoming a leader. It is as a warrior how I shall be remembered, but these are hardly numbers worth dying for.

I remember when I played Digimon onmy ps1. I managed to get a Metalgreymon once, but it died really fast, then I got Angelmon. I never finished the game though, but I got maybe half way through only.
I wouldn't mind coming back to to Digimon but I'm still busy revisiting my Pokemon games.
