Yea this right there. It's not that I find games too long it's that I have issues with buying games and issues with keeping my attention long enough. I usually have one "activity" going on at a time.

The REAL reason I prefer shorter games these days is the fact that I am older. I have less free time, as well as an ever growing social life.

I don't mind long games as I like to get my moneys worth. I do hate long grinds to get certain trophies and the like. Reach max level online in Bioshock 2 comes to mind...

As a general rule, if a game has less than 20 hours of gameplay with little to no replayability, I won't buy it. That doesn't mean I won't play it, but I'll either rent or borrow, never buy. I'm not dropping $60 on a game I could finish in a weekend and then never play again. Too many great games to go tossing away money like that.

Same here. Games need to be long enough to actually provide a chance to dig into a world and enjoy it. They did some unnecessary things to Gran Turismo 5 to increase gameplay (i.e. grinding for XP as well as credits), but it was still a much longer game without that than most games produced these days. I'm still tearing around in it.
Now writing: two Ratchet & Clank novels, a Sly 4 novel, and two rock albums
