http://www.psu.com/PSP-E1000-tech-sp...a012627-p0.phpSony’s lifted the lid on the technical specifications for its wallet-friendly PSP-E1000.
Announced last Tuesday during the console maker’s Gamescoms presser, the budget handheld omits a number of key features available in previous models, such as Wi-Fi and stereo sound.
The device itself is noticeably larger than the PSP-3000, measuring at 172.4 x 73.4 x 21.6 mm compared to the 3000’s slimmer 169.4 x 71.4 x 18.6 mm. It’s also a little heavier than the 3000 too, weighing in at 223g including battery pack.
In addition, the E1000 features a matte charcoal finish, UMD support (as you’d expect) and packs a screen size identical to that of the PSP-3000. The portable will retail for approximately 99 Euros.

The PSP-3000 is like $170-ish. This new model might come in sub $120 but in this case I think your selling yourself short.
Oh, it's only mono speaker out, i'm sure headphones will be stereo. Not sure yet if this will support the camera for (InviZimals and EyePet) or even the TV-out for capture card recording.

It's like targeting for a demographic that doesn't exist.
I like my Wifi on my PSP, I can browse the store fine, I can download minis and full functioning games. It's not the fastest thing on the planet with only 802.11 b but it gets the job done.
More importantly I lay in bed and use the web browser to look up ebuddy, facebook...

No WiFi = No Remote Play for the PS3 either.
I use my PSP most for watching TV using PS3 RemotePlay & PlayTV, alos makea a superb remote control of music playing on the PS3 (one neat trick is that you can still pump out audio from PS3 when in RemotePlay).

I do the same thing man! Haha.I use remote play + PlayTV to stream TV into any room of my house while someone can watch something else on the TV.
To get an entertainment reciever thing to do that would cost you thousands of dollars, for me under 600 (PS3 + PSP + PlayTV).

Yeah, there's that too. Haven't had to use Media Go in a LONG time.

I use Media go to quickly enter redeem codes because I'm too lazy to boot up my PS3 xD Plus it's quicker so you have a better chance of entering it before someone else.
The software was kinda sketchy out the gate but now days it's pretty solid. Shouldn't be too much inconvenience for these E1000 users.
