El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is an action title with a story based around the flood depicted in the Book of Enoch. You take control of Enoch, an ordinary man who was chosen by God to serve as a clerk in heaven. Enoch must now save humanity by journeying through the world in pursuit of fallen angels. As the story goes, the angels were tasked by God long ago to watch over the world below. Some grew to admire mankind and chose to commit the high crime of descending down to the surface. Angered by this, God considered covering the ground in a great flood. Enoch stepped in and convinced God to hold off on his punishment if he manages to track down the angels. Enoch will be supported on his journey by the angels, who were tasked by God to support him. One angel in particular, Lucifer, appears to have taken a liking to Enoch.

they were talking about this on the podcast the other day, and it seems really interesting. its not something that I would usually take the plunge and invest money in as realistically i can only get a handful of games a year and what with the awesome "holiday season" coming up my pockets are going to be rather empty. its a very interesting concept and one that hasnt been explored so much in video games (or at least in ones that I have played) i read a book which is about the downfall of lucifer a few years back and id imagine that this game would have similar themese and concepts that would be pretty cool and interesting.

Im really looking forward to Ignitions collaboration with Takeyasu Sawaki whose wonderful artistic talents were on show in such great titles as Devil May Cry and Okami, also its constantly changing visuals and cross cultural theme of a Japanese inspired game mixed with the gameplay of a western publisher looks to be very unique and exciting. The battle rich 3D environment with stunning 2D interludes and easy to use combat buttons paired with its beautifully elegant animations make El Shaddai a unique and mouthwateringly exciting project that Ignition Games should be proud of for all its hard work and I personally cant wait to add and take great pride of this great title in my games colllection.

I played the demo and fell in love with it and I absoultly love the science behind the amazingly seadie voice that keeps talking to you as you play haha! I swear I have dreams and I hear that same voice telling me to do horrible things while I sleep, but its been a while since I had a dream. So I would really love to own this game to be able to hear that totally wierd voice again and allow it to haunt my dreams again. go on PSU ...............you can do it xxxx

Like others have said, I loved the demo. To me it gave off a very Folklore-ish vibe from the setting and the aesthetics and that game was beautiful. I really dug the combat too, using the enemies own weapons against them is quite a cool concept, although I did prefer that ranged weapon more than the others. And alongside that, I'm really interested in the story. I'm not sure how much of it I'll follow considering how little I know of the material it's based on, but given everything else about the game, I'm more than willing to give it a chance.
Edit: Also, I think that hashtag should be #ElShaddaiPSU not #ElShaddiPSU
