Just came across this video and both my wife and I got extremely sad. You could tell that she was mistreated by how she curls up. At the same time I also get extremely angry when seeing such a nice dog as this one in the video knowing that she was obviously abused :/

I woke up bright and early this morning, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and for the first time in months my weary heart was free from the oppressing depression that had weighed it down for months. Then I watched this video...
I pulled the blinds down, blocking out all sunlight from my room, not before shooting all the birds as they sung in the trees outside. I caught one in mid flight and bit its head off. In the dark depths of my room, I cancelled all my donations to charitable organizations and emails/txtd all of my contacts and told them to fuck off forever...PSU GHOST SYNDICATE - DUST 514 Media HUB - Podcast - BLOG (Soon™)

I'll never understand why people feel the need to abuse animals. Videos like that really do get to me and I have no shame in admitting that I felt myself tearing up as I watched that video. I'm glad she was able to trust those awesome people and that she's now in a safe and loving home but, unfortunately, her owner is still out there and at risk of abusing other animals.

Why be sad? This was a rescue after all. The dog is out of that life.

Exactly the dog will recover and forget its usually the humans that don't forget.
People transfer the pain ans sadness onto the dog they say things like "Aww poor thing" cuddle it stroke it say "its OK" which reassures the mindset and behaviour the dog is doing at that time i.e feeling sad and low and scared of whatever its scared of.Last edited by keefy; 09-18-2011 at 13:42.
