    Xbox 360 Bets Kits Arrive

"Microsoft has sent the beta kits to developers.

June 30, 2005 - IGN learned this week that Microsoft has finally sent Xbox 360 beta kits to its corral of development partners, which are currently analyzing the new hardware.

Three independent sources confirmed their arrival, and one source said that their team is in the process of "wrapping their heads around the new machines."

Prior to their arrival, Xbox 360 developers used G5 Macs or PCs with approximate specs. The lack of beta kits at E3 had a profound affect on Microsoft's and its partners' showings. None of the teams demonstrated games using the beta kits, which contain the Xbox 360 chipsets, including the powerful custom graphics ship. All of those games were running at 25% to30% of the chips actual potential, and well, it showed.

But if the visuals shown on Bizarre Creations are to be believed, then the new beta kits will indeed materialize the graphic punch that Microsoft has had planned all along.

None of the development teams would comment on the beta kits, however, as they are under strict guidelines not to speak to the press. We will have more on this development as soon as possible."

    GameCock Media

    Check this out guys.

    We have

E.I.E.I.O. Press Access - it maybe open for the public but we get the special stuff.

Interviews - When we want for each dev

    Exclusive content when available.

    Matt
How are you? thanks a lot for getting in touch! Myself, and John (cc'd),
handle the PR for Gamecock and would be glad to help out! You're request
has been granted just a couple quick things, we haven't announced any
platforms for the games that are being published for Gamecock (so can't
say which, if any, are PS2 or PS3 or PSP yet). That said, if you have
just general questions, I would be happy to get them answered from the
various developers working on Gamecock titles (includes Wideload, Red
Fly Studio, Firefly Studios, Auran, and Crackpot). If you want to wait
until we can discuss our PlayStation-related plans, that is fine as
    well. Up to you.
E.I.E.I.O. - exact details are still forthcoming. You can rest assured
that all of the Gamecock developers will be on hand though. And your
email is enough to gain entrance for the PSU crew. Exact details on
where/transport/etc are all coming soon and I'll let you know as soon as
I can. But we'll definitely see you there!
    thanks a lot.
    Talk to you soon.
    rob

On a side note. Go Me!!!! lol

I was trying to tell you Matt on my way to Vancouver that I have already contacted these guys.

I talk with John Kopp about Fury for PC and PS3, Firefly studios on Mushroom Men for PS3, and Wideload I believe handles Hail to the Chimp for next gen consoles... and he is also my contact for Cipher Complex.

Everyone please just stick to your jobs!

You don't ask doctors to fly planes, or Eskimos to build skyscrapers!

It's ridiculous. Stick to your skill base otherwise things will go terribly wrong.

I can appreciate showing initiative, but you must ask me or Kieran first before you start contacting people claiming to represent our organisation.

Justin is in charge of PR and that's the only person I want doing PR.

Actually, they could build a skyscraper out of ice if they wanted to...Also, if an eskimo migrated from the arctic or where ever they live, and learned how to build skyscrapers, there's nothing stopping him. Hell, some of the best skyscraper builders could've been eskimos for all we know.

In Canada Eskimo is a derogatory term.

The political correct term is "Inuit".

    Organisation is the UK spelling.

You get my point, irrespective of the example used. Any yes I am aware of the politically correct term...

Ice obviously is not strong enough to build skyscrapers from and he wouldn't really be an Inuit anymore if he migrated and started working for a construction company…

Eskimos live on ice sheets, build igloos, hunt for fish for food and to resale and ride dog sleds. That’s their job imo...

Not that we are digressing from the point here at all…

    ** Damn Wikipedia...

Today, Inuit work in all sectors of the economy, including mining, oil and gas, construction, government and administrative services. Many Inuit still supplement their income through hunting. Tourism is a growing industry in the Inuit economy. Inuit guides take tourists on dogsled and hunting expeditions, and work with outfitting organizations. About 30 percent of Inuit derive part-time income from their sculpture, carving and print making.
