About Uncharted 3 online pass

So, online pass for Uncharted 3. Does it already include in the new copy of the game or does everyone need to buy it fresh off from the PSN store? I've done this online pass before but on Dead Space 2 when I bought it as new. Which was kinda weird to me at first because at that time, I wondered why the game needed an online pass, just to play multiplayer online. For those who have the game early, does it include the online pass voucher?

It's included in every new purchase. Only people that buy the game second hand, that the code was used, need to purchase an online pass. You'll also need a new pass if you plan on using the game on a different PS3.

Doesn't affect me one bit, I buy all my games new and never trade in. If I'm to play it on another PS3 (a new one), I just login on my PSN account and done.

Yep, the code works for your PSN account on any PS3. Dunno if it works on other accounts on the same PS3 though but some people say it does which makes sense.

I shouldn't have to use the same account on two different PS3's in my house. Hopefully for those that want to play the game on different systems won't get the content lockout issues that have appeared with DLC in the past.

If it did it wouldn't bother me tbh I won't be touching the online. Now if that were to happen when I get Twisted Metal, I'd be emailing Sony ASAP.

These were brand new, sealed games, no online codes. Eventually it's going to affect everyone in some way or another. It's just a matter of time.

If it doesn't come with a code and you did in fact buy it new just ring up the retailer for an exchange. Ne need to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
So far every game I've bought that has said it had a code inside has indeed had a code inside. No joke.

That someone bought a new game and couldn't play online because the online pass wasn't in the case like it was supposed to be, AND that I obviously didn't make it up. Smh. You can find more instances throughout the web.

Inzane2050, you should of stopped before you started typing.

F34R isnt making anything up, my copy of Battlefield 3 - that I preordered in June - didn't come with the online code. I had to talk to over 3 different EA reps, and two futureshop reps - before they even bothered to help me. They kept playing the "Contact the other" game, till I finally got an EA support person that wasnt an idiot.

its not like I could just walk into the store to exchange either, cause I dont exactly have the time to go an hour there and another hour back to do that.

Good to know I wasnt the only one, hopefully Sony packs there codes better - my copy was FINALLY freaking shipped.

(EDIT: The online pass works for all psn accounts on the same ps3 now, my rant below was based off my experience with the online pass on WKC2 which limited it to 1 psn account and does not reflect new games using the online pass. Thanks to Sainraja and John25 for correcting me)

The online pass only works for 1 psn account. If you have multiple accounts on your ps3 such as accounts for different family members. The pass will only work on the account you add it too which sucks but no one seems bothered with this in press or media. Also alot of "it doesnt effect me coz i buy new" comments that go round just gives more reason for sony to not bother changing this.
So much for only trying to make a money back from used sales, they've set up a nice business to extract even more money from gamers who buy brand new.

I love the way this game industry is going. Soon I will be buying a singleplayer pass for other accounts on my ps3 by the looks of things.... :/

anyone having problems redeeming the special edition code, my says it's invalid & the codes GAME sent me for pre-ordering are saying invalid too, online pass works thou.

I got the game today. The online pass code was on the back of the manual. Good thing I caught on it pretty quick. I redeemed it right after I saw the code and I didn't get any problems. Success on my end.

so how do we attain the online pass for those who have 2 or more ps3's? may as well go purchase a second disc...

also, what is the difference between the pre-order copy and the day after copies besides the "creepy crawly" bonus? (eventually DLC)
