Things like this make me sick. He was obviously angry and it went past the point of discipline IMO. He was swearing/shouting and wanted to hurt his daughter not discipline her.

2004: Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams took a belt to his own teenage daughter as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time. She has had ataxic cerebral palsy from birth that led her to a passion for technology, which was strictly forbidden by her father's backwards views. The judge's wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge's wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist. Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can't even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. His "judgement" is a giant farce. Signed, Hillary Adams, his daughter.

The video was taken in 2004, but only released now, as the girl who was beaten was the one who released it. She's the one who started the reddit thread. She waited 7 years to release it because she was afraid of what her father would do if the video came out earlier.

Still, the man is clearly violent, but I wonder how many of the details in that quote are actually true. She could be stretching things to paint herself a better picture. Not saying that she is, I believe the man in that video is a shitfaced asshole, but that she could be tipping things in her favor.

He shouldn't even have done it because in the beginning of the video, her mum tells her dad that she had already spanked her, she has already been punished. I don't understand why the dad got so angry and had to beat her.

But seriously, that's sickening. My family is very liberal, so I don't think I've ever been hit before. Not that political ideologies come into play, I'm sure there are plenty conservatives that don't beat their children, but if I had to guess I would say that the father in this video was an incredibly conservative, God-fearing man. I always got a time-out or my privileges taken away, but never ever hit. Not that I got in trouble anyway. I was a golden child.

Yep, it's almost time for my 3 children to get their daily whoopin ...just in case. I might miss something, so a daily ass-whippin is in order for those things that they do while daddy isn't watching, ya know, just for the hell of it.

(In all actuality, I should spank my kids more often..the once or twice a year really takes a toll on my patience, and they hardly cry when I DO spank them..I'm way too lenient.)

I'd rather be a loving father and admired for that, than be a hateful man and resented throughout life by my children. Yep. I learned early on to take the two or three spankings "correctly", rather than thrash about and get the fuck beat out of me lol. Kids these days have it way too easy. Luckily, my kids listen, and have great manners, so I've never had to spank them.
