    Graphics - New ATi/Nvidia Drivers Out - 16.06.14

I was thinking of doing a thread for updated graphics drivers for PC gamers and providing links to them for easier finds I will provide the official link and a sub link if anyone has issues with a site but anyway here they are hopefully I can always edit the title thread with a new date so I don't have to keep re-posting.

ATi Display 14.4 Driver (Official Link)

    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

    AMD 14.6 BETA Drivers

    http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-arti...dows-beta.aspx

    nVidia Driver 337.88

    http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk

Note due to nvidia dropping support for older cards your graphics card may not not be supported anymore but it's worth checking.

    Nvidia BETA Driver (Search Function)

    http://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers/beta-legacy

Driver Fusion (is now the new name for Driver Sweeper)

    http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion

Click on Download for the free version this to clean out old driver files once you have done the uninstall to avoid driver conflicts normally when I update a driver I run the uninstaller and once done find the driver folder usually

(C:AMD or C:Nvidia then delete folder if you have also a nvidia chipset then DO NOT DELETE the entire folder go inside and check for a display folder)

I reboot the PC and log back in, I then run driver sweeper for ATi files in my case and remove them once done I install the latest driver also note that sometimes it may remove the SMBus driver for AMD chipsets if this is the case you can re-download the latest here......

AMD Chipset Driver (SMBus, AHCI, USB 3.0) AMD have now combined there drivers for the AHCI SMBus etc in to one package you can download them at the same link above for the AMD display driver.

Catalyst creator often has useful tweets for latest beta driver releases for AMD users.

    http://twitter.com/#!/catalystcreator

ATI/AMD users can also update using Steam (if they have it) it is however often a day or 2 behind what is on the AMD website.

Thats nice to see as i ordered last week my x51 with the nvdia gtx555. Do drivers update themselves like automatic updates on browsers or we have to update them manually? My guess is that there is an update button in the control panel or something. Never had to update videocard drivers cause till now i always used macs.

For nvidea you should go on their website and search for new drivers, search for the card that your card is in ( 500 series) and download which you need.

    www.nvidia.com

There is an autodetect option on the site if unsure what card yours is exactly.

There may be a update option inthe driver software control panel AMD has one so I expect Nvidia will too.

If you want serious detail about your graphics card download GPU-Z it tells you everything you need to know what card it is what driver your using etc http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/

GPU-Z .0.5.9 is the latest version or if your using Windows XP or 7 you can go in to Control Panel >> System >> Device Manager >> Display Adapters and it will show you there
