    Graphics - New ATi/Nvidia Drivers Out - 26.06.15/06.26.15

I was thinking of doing a thread for updated graphics drivers for PC gamers and providing links to them for easier finds I will provide the official link and a sub link if anyone has issues with a site but anyway here they are hopefully I can always edit the title thread with a new date so I don't have to keep re-posting.

Due to nvidia dropping support for older cards your graphics card may not be supported anymore but it's worth checking with the list below, It is also worth noting also that Windows XP has been dropped for support so you will have to do a legacy search to find the last latest driver for it.

    nVidia BETA Driver Legacy Search

    Removal Of AMD Drivers

First download Driver Fusion (formally Driver Sweeper)

    http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion

    Then.....

Run the uninstaller for AMD and I choose the option to removal each item manually I then choose CUSTOM and check the following

    AMD Display Driver
    HDMI Audio Driver
    AMD Accelerated Video Trans coding
AMD Drag & Drop Trans coding
    AMD Cat Control Centre

If you have a motherboard with an AMD Chipset it may show in the list make sure you do not select these items normally they are labelled USB and SMBUS etc, I then let the uninstall do it's thing and then reboot my PC next

look for the folders either (C:AMD or C:Nvidia then delete folder if you have also a nvidia chipset or AMD chipset then DO NOT DELETE the entire folder go inside and check for a display folder)

Run Driver Sweeper and it will and should find any entries in the registry delete them all and reboot your system a 2nd time once back into Windows just run the set-up for the new driver and reboot for a 3rd time, when back in to Windows again just set resolution etc and your good to go.

SMBus USB 3.0 Drivers can now be found at the above link you can download and update them if need be personally I have never seen any difference even though the version number changes for the driver it's self like 14.12 etc I don't see any difference in performance with USB.

Catalyst creator often has useful tweets for latest beta driver releases for AMD users.

    http://twitter.com/#!/catalystcreator

ATI/AMD users can also update using Steam (if they have it) it is however often a day or 2 behind what is on the AMD website.

Thats nice to see as i ordered last week my x51 with the nvdia gtx555. Do drivers update themselves like automatic updates on browsers or we have to update them manually? My guess is that there is an update button in the control panel or something. Never had to update videocard drivers cause till now i always used macs.

For nvidea you should go on their website and search for new drivers, search for the card that your card is in ( 500 series) and download which you need.

    www.nvidia.com

There is an autodetect option on the site if unsure what card yours is exactly.

There may be a update option inthe driver software control panel AMD has one so I expect Nvidia will too.

GPU-Z .0.5.9 is the latest version or if your using Windows XP or 7 you can go in to Control Panel >> System >> Device Manager >> Display Adapters and it will show you there

it already does that when you try to install the driver file, but Nvidia ftw.
