Times like these I still wish I had a Wii. Never got to play Twilight Princess either.

Yeah, GT video reviews are quite long as are Gamespots. Tend to watch them knowing it'll contain a bit of spoilers >.<
What they did show has me super excited! I'll probably forget most of the spoilery stuff by the time I actually get a chance to play this
Yeah it's required to play, 1:1 sword movement ftw!
Awesome! Wind waker is a classic

Since I don't have a game cube I'm playing twilight princess and wind waker via emulation @ 2x native resolution and 2x AF
I'm surprised my laptop runs them at 30fps LOCKED (seriously its locked)

Famitsu - 40/40
The first game of 2011 to get the full score.
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess got full scores too back when they released.
In the same issue Arkham City got 37/40 and MGS Collection got 34/40.
---
Gamespot seem to be attention seeking. They gave it 7.5.
"Anyone yearning for something new will be disappointed."
... But you know what your getting with a Zelda game. A bit like a Mario game or a CoD game. They stick to a tried and tested formula which works.
The game is currently scoring 94 on Metacritic.Last edited by dc89; 11-16-2011 at 09:05.

lol, from what I've been hearing Gamespot's comments entirely fly in the face of everyone else who has played the game. It definitely seems like they're attention seeking. I haven't read the review myself however as I've also heard it's riddled with spoilers.
But whatever, I can't wait until the game finally hits. It has been a long time coming.

Hmm..Gamespot took a while to get the review out and then they score it 7.5 lol
They've started to score games a little less than most other sites lately, when they traditionally have been on similar terms. I think they're pursuing that sort of strict/hard to impress kind of reviewing status that the likes of Eurogamer and Edge hold
Yeah, I can't wait either Avrum. I won't get the chance to play it right away however
Gonna play it like mad over the holidays though

I end up buying a Nintendo console each time a new Zelda game comes out, but I'm quite sure i saw this game run on the Wii U sometime ago, it will probably end up on the Wii U even though Nintendo are saying it wont come out on the Wii U (they don't want to hurt the Wii version sales).

I end up buying the game and without knowing that it needed a "Motion Plus Accessory", now I got to wait until I have another chance going to the mall

No, you never saw the game running on Wii U. The only Zelda footage even shown with relation to that console is the Zelda HD presentation trailer which was based on Twilight Princess' style. As for Skyward Sword on Wii U, having played the game now, there is no way it would work with the Wii U controller. Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii games and accessories so I suppose Nintendo "could" release a HD version that requires Wii U owners to use Wii controllers to play it but that would be the only way and at the moment there's no hint of Nintendo doing that. There has actually already been talking of production being underway for a Wii U proper Zelda, yet no talk at all (outside of Aonuma deconfirming rumors) of Skyward Sword getting the Twilight Princess treatment and being released for Wii U as well.

Do not hold your breath for a Zelda like that!!!
Here is Nintendo's Gamecube Zelda Tech Demo:
We got the beautifully cel-shaded Wind Waker instead.

Impressive - Nintendo delivered on this one as the Zelda franchise was being questioned by some in terms of moving the series on.
