Sometimes I wonder if people even played MW3 if they say there are no improvements or added features.

Dunno about MW3 but there haven't been much improvement in the previous few CoD games.

Bought BF3, played MW3. BF3 deserves it for what they did, MW3 it's the same crap, they claim is not a cut and paste job but it sure feels like it, when I walked into my friend's place I thought he was playing black ops lol, and it sure is fun and all that, no improvements whatsoever, I even considered buying it before trying it. But now I'm sure I won't get it at all.

But because MW3 is so mainstream and their sales were higher, it's probably gonna be a biased winner Shooter of the year.

Personally, I prefer BF3, but if you prefer MW3 then more power to you. I have my opinion and have made my choice and everyone else can do the same. Makes no difference to me.
You got all wrong. Imma BF3 "fanboy" lol.

Call of Duty died when the creator of the franchise got fired. Since then the, Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, games have become like the Guitar Hero of shooters. CoD4 still, to this day, remains one of the greatest FPS experiences of my life--however--it is now dead to me. These new, so-called, Call of Duty games come across like an old-timer trying to relive his glory days. This is like trying to find someone to replace Freddy Mercury from Queen so they can start up again.

BF3 is a better shooter by miles. Destructible environments, vehicles, the ranking system, the maps, the shooter mechanics, and just the pure level of maturity you find on online matches is what makes BF3 the better shooter.

No offence to the people who love MW3--I am just so distraught that Activision did not want to spend a single dollar on upgrading the CoD engine. Instead, they raised the prices off the game and cut production cost.

How can you be happy with that?

I have to give it to BF3. MW3 was pretty well exactly what I expected, good and bad. I like how they have restructured the killstreaks, and included some extra challenges and weapon level ups. What disappoints me most with MW3 is what I have found to be what makes BF so impressive, the MP. The scale of the BF3 maps is just epic, and only congested when it needs to be. Then there are the vehicles, such a good mix of styles of play. The scale of battles really reminds me of MAG, though I'd love to see them be able to push the size of battles up another 3-5 players per team.

While I was all geared up for BF3 and voted for BF3 in the other thread, I found it quite a let down.
Had acouple of hours on MW3 and prefer that even if it is MW2.5 or whatever, the gameplay just feels smoother and it runs without any issues tbh.

I agree totally! As I have both and play both regularly since launch. I also happen to have and love Batman AC, Uncharted 3, and Skyrim, as well as Dark Souls and many, many others. I do feel as though with all the great games that just dropped I did indeed win!!

If you an FPS fan i don't see why you can't enjoy both games.

I know you're not into COD game so just wanted to let you know that they do this every time (have been doing it this generation). Reason is, there are two developers, one always makes WWII games and the other always makes modern version of it.

So the audience is somewhat different.

Aha! Thanks. I always wondered what the difference was. As you said, military FPS have been (until BF3) completely off my radar.

i started off liking COD way more then BF... but then bad company 2 came out and i realized...

Battlefield - Well designed large maps that make sense
    destructible environments
    plenty of war vehicles
    less arcadey bullshit
    better graphics
the list really goes on... whereas....

Call Of Duty - Small badly designed maps that make no sense
    Arcadey bullshit
same slight expansion pack released every year and passed off as a new game
    outdated graphics
    no destructible environments
no war vehicles, apart from ones that you cant control
plus theres just no skill involved with the child like war game that is call of duty.

Where does this skill argument come from when it's BF vs MW. Both games are equally as easy to play and both games offer a hardcore mode. As for vehicles CoD doesn't need vehicles as it doesn't fit the gameplay, unless you want it so it's just a me too feature?

My apologies for I made a rather confusing statement, what I mean it's they made no big improvements, nothing that's interesting or worth buying if you have a MW2 or Black Ops.
