There's an extended Origins featurette. Some new footage, but primarily a little more on the "humanity's origins" topic. This has me so excited. EXACTLY what I wanted from the movie.

Spoilered so that bandwidth isn't choking on all the images on this page. It would be best if people don't do a full post reply-with-quote with every image...duplicating them down the page.

That's not the first tv spot... strictly speaking. There was one, or maybe even multiple like a month ago. i believe during The Walking Dead, pretty much positive on that.

Anyway, there'll be a lot of tv spots to keeping up with that aspect I wouldn't be concerned with.

I'll be fair, I didn't label them clearly in my post. However, I purposely posted them and put them in spoilers so we did didn't have a whole page filled with media. I also rewatched Alien the other night. I really loved the atmosphere in that movie. The lighting, sets and pacing were all great.

Fassbender said, I think according to the script, that this movie is set to deliver on that same overall standard. I think there's going to be a little more action, not in terms of guns and explosions but more so events.

Man, gonna have to fight the urge and stop watching anything else, think the last international trailer that was posted is enough. Hopefully I can hold out until June 2nd. Personally I think they have been showing too much IMO!

Which guy? The one with the flamerthrower scene is fifield mutated.. The big guy running around the halls grabbing that guy (seemingly burnt) is def an SJ due to size.

Could be the same scene from the front. Although the SJ in the one where it shows him from the front grabbing somebody seems... Disfigured and wounded. Like he was set on fire.

This is clearly Shaw btw.

I don't think the Space Jockey's face was disfigured. That was just Shaw's hair getting in the way of the shot right before the lights flicker out.

A new viral video. This time the Yutani Corporation, direct competitors of Weyland Industries at the time, intercept a call (hence the title of the video).

I dunno, the scene where the Engineer tackles Shaw his face clearly looks burnt or disfigured. Not at all smooth and normal appearing like in all the other shots we have of him. Also, the Engineers may actually have pupils:



This is a still from the scene where the helmet/head explodes on the examination table. They remove the helmet and find a preserved Engineer head inside.. Why it explodes I've no idea. Some people have analyzed the footage and picked this up. Clearly showing a humanoid head.. With pupils.

Up until now I'd been assuming the Engineers had pure black eyes.

Bought Alien on blu-ray for $10 at wal-mart. Rewatched it and all the trailers and the discussions in this thread make even more sense. Aside from that, I love the production and sound design. The scenes where the lights flicker like you're in a club make it terrifyingly epileptic.
