Supposedly this is from the Comic-Con trailer shown last year. There are some shots from the movie that we haven't seen before. One that caught my eye is the shot of David crying. Maybe the alien substance is making him more human?

His movements... When he's looking at that flower. It's exactly what the Alien did in the original movie when it was looking at Jones the Cat in the container.

    I'm hoping that's just a coincidence.

Also, I'm thinking he might actually have emotions lol. Maybe he was lying about not feeling them? Fassbender has said that David has developed human attributes, like insecurity, jealousy, and shows emotions like being hurt.

Well it was inevitable. What with Scott's struggling with the MPAA to give Prometheus an "R" rating, editing and cuts were going to happen.

    Revised and edited:

In all reality we're probably going to get a very, very watered down movie. We won't be seeing the real-deal until the directors\unrated cut hits DVD/Blu Ray.

This is really depressing for me.

Then fingers crossed for an unrated or directors cut edition on blu-ray.

I don't usually care for gore in the movies I watch but Shaw struggling to keep her balance in that scene when you add stitches to her abdomen doesn't make as much sense. I'm guessing the green blood is supposed to come from the squid-like alien.

Not bad all things considered, but these days photoshopped posters are a dime a dozen. We've all seen what Hollywood comes up with. I generally prefer more minimalist posters, Mondo usually has some really cool posters (even if not minimalist).

Also, don't bother adding that David birthday video. That specific upload was taken down. I might look it up tomorrow, so I'll give you one that works (assuming there is one and it doesn't get taken down soon, again).

Once again judging prematurely and not giving Scott much credit. Remember when you thought there wouldn't be any hint of the xenos and you were all torn up. Now we might even see a proto-version...

Frankly, I've not been one to need violence and blood for a movie to be better. Intelligence over gore IMO, but I understand that story sometimes require more of that edge. Still, Scott knows the situation. Even if it's not the best version, it should still be a good one. He's said he'll push the rating to its edge to keep it as in-line with the quality as it should be.

Go into the Edit Signature page and add the [*CENTER][*/CENTER] tags around the text/image you want to center (without the asterisks). Or highlight the text/page you want to center and click on the center paragraph icon right under the Paste from Word icon and Font Name selection.

Shhhhhhhhh! Are you a mod now? I figured if the forum (or staff) didn't ask me to resize it wasn't necessary. If it needs to be changed then sure, I'd appreciate it.

No worries, lots of stuff I don't know or never looked at. Right above the window are paragraph tools, alignment is right in there. Or just type [ center ] [/ center ]. I mean that's if you want to do that, my comment was more of a nit-pick.

Scott has already screamed at the MPAA for giving Prometheus an R rating when he says it deserves a PG-13. Look at the picture comparison up above, the original trailer vs newer one. They're already toning it down to appease the arbitrary MPAA guidelines. I'll quote Ridley Scott:

"[F]ilms this year that have got PG-13 ratings -- it’s absolutely f--king ludicrous," Scott was quoted as saying by Indiewire's blog Thompson on Hollywood,
before adding that the MPAA should get its "house in order.”

To be frank I'm more in touch with this movie than you are atm, Red. It's not like I'm saying this crap on a whim, I'm reporting what I've been reading and seeing. Making opinions off of the available information.

Point of order, I was initially agitated that the Engineers were going to be humanoid vs the impression we got of them in Alien. I was peeved that they changed that appearance to being a suit and that Prometheus may not feature any kind of Alien design at all- again, going off of the repeated statements of Lindelhof and Scott though I suspected they were lying.

Perhaps with story details, but most of this article- like 90% of it has been mentioned already.

That quote is really vague honestly. I'd rather he at least list some reasons rather than blasting the MPAA system without them. It sounds like he's exaggerating because he wants gore in his film but with a PG-13 rating. The sentences before it is exactly what I've been saying, Scott knows it needs to be PG-13 to make money. It's a tough thing, but it is what it is.

I don't mind the theatrical presentation not being the best if that's done for a reason. Let the movie make its money and then the real fans can enjoy the true artistry at home. It sucks for people who don't follow the movie and then maybe are disappointed since they don't know the story behind it but that's the game.

His mention of 3D also needs to be taken into context. This article proves to me that Ridley needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

If I'm on the same page as you, they were always in a suit. Also, the xeno thing is up in the air. The movie won't center around it but it's possible it could be a background storyline coming into play for the sequel.

Also, I thought this part was interesting:

David 8 is fluent in all known languages through a dialectic implant and can infer the linguistic components of entirely new languages if encountered. Communication between humans and David 8 should feel entirely fluid and natural.

He instantly recognizes the tone and timbre of a new voice and will register it with his database.
Makes even more sense that he would be part of the Prometheus crew.

iTunes Movie Trailers has an exclusive trailer-sized featurette behind the scenes. Full 1080p look at sets and new footage. No new information from the actors or director, not too surprising, but the new footage I think is interesting itself.

David handling a control panel and the controls quite interesting. And of course the quote of the day "A superior species, no doubt." Not much but ya know.
