Showing respect towards JRPG's (that's right Bethsoft and Bioware, I'm looking at YOU)? This is why I love Obsidian. Hell, Fergus's favorite game of all time is Chrono Trigger.

Does that really surprise anyone? Final Fantasy VII and Chrono Trigger are most JRPG gamers' favorite games of all time.

No, not really. It's just refreshing to hear a WRPG dev. not say crap like "Hurr durr, you can put a J in front of it, but it doesn't make it an RPG. durr". Not sure why it deserves a sarcastic eyeroll.

This could become one of the greatest RPG's in a long time, at first I had the "wtf" reaction but reading more into the details of it and just thinking about the possibilities I am actually quite excited for it.

There's way too little good comedy games out there (and even double fine started making crappy kinect games) but I think Trey and Matt could easily make this game hilarious. Also it being 2d hopefully means that Obisidian can actually polish the game a little and not spend all their budget on trying (and failing) to make their game look pretty, Obsidian got some great writers but so terrible with bugs.

If's Dungeon Siege III is anything to go by, the game should be fine since it will most likely run on Obsidian's Onyx engine, which is quite nice.
