Square-Enix said it would take them 10 years to remake FFVII with modern visuals, and I believe them. It will be nice if these amateur designers show up SE and make them look incompetent, lol.

There are so many things wrong with that recreation it's ridiculous.

First, why is it in first person view? This isn't callofdutyfantasy. Second, why is Tifa there when it was Barret that met Cloud for the bombing mission?

If fans are going to make such unneeded changes to a FFVII remake then I'd hate to see what Square Enix would do.

That re-creation of the game is a nice attempt. There a lot of things they messed up on such as the game being first person and Tifa being present. Other then that, if Square-Enix actually tried they can easily remake the game.

I'm sure Tifa is there just to show off her character, which is more popular than Barrett. I would hope to see the Advent Children models in the FFVII outfits. In fact, I'd rather see some sort of direct sequel-type thing than a remake.

FF4 on PSP was an amazing example, it was exactly like the original SNES version, but they updated the text and sprites and the magic animations were great. Only downside was it was easier, but it was the perfect remake IMO, better than the DS remake.

This...well I actually do think we'll see a VII-2 before a remake, just because of how the secret ending with Dirge of Cerberus came out.

Seems like you guys don't understand crap about this. Obviously, the FPS cam is to avoid programing a walking animation, since the team behind this doesn't seem especially gifted at doing them. If you haven't paid any attention, all models and textures have been clearly ripped from Dissidia and Crisis Core, both PSP games that can be downloaded to the PC. Basically, all they've done from scratch is the scenario and that's it.

Still, it's a good glimpse at how good VII could be remade if done properly (although there's lots in this rendition to critizice).

Uhh no, you have to have animation regardless of the view of the camera. They have attack animations and they can't make a walking one? Sure that makes sense

Doubt it, they've probably written Dirge of Cerberus off by now. Even though I would kill for a sequel, I loved that game lol
