I was full of hype last year but it died out. So, not me. I'm waiting for Guild Wars 2. Don't like the pay to play model and I'm listening to my wallet on this one.

Yup, been in the beta, and I have early game access, will be playing it from Dec 13th! 3 Days .

Just spent entire day playing the game, hours :3 i only just got off the starter world an hour ago, was there for about 8hrs atleast, but i did all the side quests before i left, the story is very well done, the game is very good, i do reccomend it.

Cool, but does it feel like a singleplayer game with online component?

Well, im lvl 15 on Dromund Kaas. BH Story line is progressing very well. Love the voiced npcs in the mmo. Only taken part in the first flashpoint you come across, but its a very good one. Having fun. Recommend at least a trial.

The only downside to the mmo is the queueing on full servers. The wait timer is hugely under exaggerated. If you've got 1000+ ppl in front of you expect a 1.5 to 2.5 hr wait. Kinda kills the game. Only advice is to pick an empty server and hope it doesn't fill up to fast.

Yeah this was hyped as next big thing so no surprise servers full. I am going to wait a few weeks till patches, bug fixes, people leave, etc and then prob join. Took Rift 3 months to become WOW 2.0 lets see if SWTOR follows the trend.

In all honesty, nothing particularly towards the game itself; I quite liked what I saw. The Star Wars setting grabbed me big time initially but the hype grew so quickly compared to when the game would be released that it just died off for me. Also, pay to play is not something I'm a fan of.

The more time went on, the more I moved from 'I'm going to get this' to 'I might get this' to 'Nah, I'll pass' for these reasons.

Well i got my CE from game a few days ago *£89 for me:P and im level 16 sith sorceror, having tons of fun torturing and killing jedi scum

Does this compared well with KOTOR 1 & 2? I saw it at the store ( with no price tag lol) and got really curious when I saw the KOTOR cover art.

Yeah I know but my PCs are way out of date. One is 4 years old which is my best computer and the other is as base of a model laptop as you can get. I couldn't even get CS to run on it.

OMG I started as Jedi Knight and played through first planet and amazing story. Started Sith inquisitor for a bit. Like it, but really does feel more like a single player game then a traditional MMO.

wait till you find a great team mate then it feels like a really good Co op game, me and a mate arkasha spent last 2 days doing missions, i love the fact team mates have a choice in cutscenes, my darkside is close to level 3 now also.

I like my jedi. She is ls 12 now. Some missions tho hard to choose good option. Tried smuggler and really really like it. Once I get off work I plan to hit up a few fp and heroic 2. Only lvl 12 now.

I played the beta very, very briefly. Is this a game you guys would recommend getting? I absolutely loved the KOTOR titles, but am not sure how similar this game is to those. Also a Star Wars fan in general, but am still skeptical of investing my money in this game.

Omg the crafting suck 1 min to make something and u cant stack. Sith Sorcerer....my erection has still not gone down!!! I am switching to EMPIRE!!!

I was finally able to play it tonight. I had a weird graphics problem that I couldn't figure out how to fix. Basically the environment stretched out across the screen and I couldn't see anything, which obviously made the game unplayable. It seemed like a lot of people had this problem but I could never find a solution for it. Finally on the old republic forums, someone found a solution. It was just a problem with the graphics card that I was able to fix it pretty easily. If anybody else is having that problem, feel free to message me and I will let you know what I did.

So I finally got to play and I am loving it. I chose a Jedi Knight to start out with and I am very happy with my choice so far. I hear Sith is more interesting, so I might give that a try too, especially since I find it hard to not choose the "evil" dialog option sometimes, lol. I actually really want to try out all the classes and I probably will eventually. I will stick to my Jedi for now though. I've tried MMO's in the past but none have really made me stick around for more than a few months. I have high hope that this will and so far I got a good feeling this may be the MMO that I've been looking for.
