I didn't like FFXIII at all, but I think FFXIII-2 looks great.

One of the bad endings say to be continued. People on gamefaq are debating whether or not that's just an alternate ending or confirmation for FFXIII-3.

Did we really need XIII-2? It's SE I won't be surprised. They will probably shit another horrible sequel/DLC that nobody wants in a year, from content they hold back, and "true FF" fans (lol) will buy it.

I watched some of it...and it looked good....really good. Only concern now is the story aspect part of it. I am eagerly awaiting to see what the fan reaction is to it.

GAF is saying the story is "batshit insane". Basically, there's a lot more happening in the story this time, but it's all very ridiculous, yet sort of entertaining. lol

I'm not going to check out their thread anymore though, since they're starting to discuss the plot twists and ending. And I know I'll end up knowing too much.

I found parts of XIII touching, all we can do for now is wait until we get to play it.

Forget "touching". I get enough of that crap when my wife watches lifetime! I want EPIC. And it looks like XIII-2 has that in spades...

That opening scene was more epic than the entirety of a lot of recent JRPG's scenarios.

My main problem wasn't the linearity, it was the characters and story.

This is a bargain bin game for me.

looks awesome. I only watched walkthrough 2 and 3 but really liked what i saw. I was expecting this game to not feel as epic, but that entire opening was epic for me I like the quick time events in this too (never thought too much about them from the trailers) but I like the choice given to you in the cutscenes (reminds me of mass effect 2 paragon and renegade styled quicktime choices )
