I was thinking about getting it on my iPhone until I thought about how painful it will be to play.

How on earth would you play that on a touch screen device?

Would love it but i really really dislike the way the controls are laid out.
This game to me proves why the iphone/ipad, tablets and mobiles in general will not be something that SONY and MS need to worry about.
Their are just way too much limitations.

bought this on the iPhone 4S, then subsequently downloaded it for my iPad 2......it actually works really well. Usually i hate touchscreen games like this however the controls work flawlessly. Anyone who is on the fence about getting this i say do it.....
hopefully this means vice city and san andreas will be released at some point also!Wii # 8752-0092-2306-9612PSN ID : pez555

it needs a controller in my opinion, but i guess if you can play it using touch screen go right ahead and enjoy. Me i stick to controller based gta 3

I already own the game on Steam. One of my favorite games. I used to play it a lot on the PlayStation 2. I just wanted to say that Rockstar Games really know how to cut a trailer. That's always been one of the things I liked, you know, apart from them releasing great games.

I have this game and the framerate and controls on my iPad 2 are horrible. The only thing that keeps me playing is radio flashback, shes on fire and push it to the limit. The black guy rapping in dnb background is also classic btw.

i guess GTA 3 will not be the only GTA on the touch pads of the world or touch phones, believe me when i say they will be putting GTA: VICE CITY, GTA: SAN ANDRES and the GTA STORIES on them to, with the sales still high. They will not just have only GTA 3 on the touch pads of the world or touch phones

The game runs horrible on my ipod touch 4g, its like below 15 FPS majority of the time and it crashes just when i am about to complete a mission.
Ill stick to an actual gaming consoles to play real games.

I have it on my Xperia Play. The game runs fine, apart from the odd frame rate drop. The controls are fine, except not like they were on PS2. I hope they update it so we can change the controls.

works flawlessly on my 4S and iPad 2, no framerate issues at all yet. My iPhone 4 however is a different story.

I would like to pick this up but Im not sure about the touch controls. I hoped that Apple apps can be tried first before buying it, like on the Windows Phone or I cant find a way to try it out first?

Some more gameplay footage of GTA III on the IPAD
It seems to be running really well. But this could be cut together and he is driving badly

It looks like the game is using the Xbox build although there are a lot of low-res textures. Also some pop-in and weird lighting effects in the background. That would drive me crazy. Lol.

its just a dip in the graphics and frame rate, that i think that cause's them effects and pop ups... But in saying that, it was by no means rushed
They took their time over it
Thanks to Spyrde/Sylar
