Directed to the MW3 Critic/User Hate

MW3 is an above average game. It isn't great but it isn't terrible. The maps are terrible, probably the worst in the series, the lag is ridiculously bad where I live at and it just isn't enjoyable enough for me to play consistently. It's fun everyone once in a while with my friends but not an everyday thing or even a multiple time a week thing.

Oh and before you say It's because I suck, I'm actually really good at COD I just don't enjoy it anymore.

I thought everything in BLoPs was better than in MW3, especially the killstreaks, (chopper gunner anyone?) But the MP maps, and the SP story was told much better, I thought.
It hasn't stopped me from playing MW3 constantly though. I still put in BLoPs for some zombie awesomeness, and a bit of MP here and there when I can find a game these days.

I think some of the maps are pretty good, there are a few I dislike, usually the ones I haven't played very much. I find Bootleg tough as I must have only played that map three times. I recon people need to give the maps more time, we all think back to MW1 and 2 and think how good the maps were, but those games are about 5 and 3 years old respectively, I'm sure we have all played those maps thousands of times! However Lag would spoil the game for me, thats why I use a cable internet connection and pay a fortune for it!

you really need to elaborate on this...because ive seen some teams of guys use some great team play in MW3...



gee tell these guys that their shield is "stupid"

and they do make the shield weak to many weapons...you are slow and very venerable to attacks from the side/rear...from a distance you are absolutely dead meat...etc..



well...lucky for you the game has a theater feature...i want to see you achieve a Harrier and a Nuke using the throwing knives and a shield in MW3...

firstly, i'm not making up arguments, and reading any negative review or critique will back up my claims(hence the point of the thread). spewing hate is a laughable argument by you, i hardly go around all day complaining about this game. when someone asks why i hate it, i tell them.

secondly you're shield argument is ridiculous(i see a pattern with you). tell those guys? sure i'll tell them after they respawn or when they finish throwing their one-hit-kill knives in real life shield are not stupid, but in an online game they are. they have basically introduced a new way to camp! in most game i have played, there was always at least one person in a corner with a shield and knives/c4 racking up the kills.

you won't see me uploading videos of myself with the theater feature because, as i've said, i rented the game for 5 nights, and i definitely won't be spending another penny on it. if you want to send me a copy of the game i'll gladly show you. however because i despise the shields and throwing knives i would rather use a silenced sub machine gun or else an assault riffle. it really isn't that hard

anyway i'm sure you've got another ridiculous argument prepared, maybe some pictures of ninjas throwing knives? so i'm going to stay out of this thread now fanboy!

If you find it hard to kill someone with a shield i feel sorry for you. They're easy points all you need to do is semtex them or run around the side and stab them. Only time they have the advantage is if you haven't noticed their presence, imo. I see nothing cheap about it at all

Should try the objective modes like Hardcore Headquarters, Sabotage and Search and Destroy or just play the Hardcore modes. Much less running and gunning in those modes. This is something people tend to forget about CoD it's not all just about FFA and TDM.

Try the objective modes that require teamwork and the Hardcore modes when less people run around like a headless chicken.

but you ARE making things up...you were talking about Harriers and Nukes when the game does not even have EITHER of those in it to begin with!

you realize camping is a perfectly viable strategy...and probably the most successful strategy of all time in REAL LIFE?..

of course beating the campers requires real team work...which is something you swear is non existent from the game..

haha! now ive been called a CoD fanboy?...wow...this guy really doesn't have a clue..did i not say in this very thread that the game is not perfect...there are LOTS of things wrong with it...plenty of games that are better..lol

completely agree there is too much running and gunning for my taste as well...certain perk/weapon combos allow for some pretty terrible outcomes...though not as bad as MW2...

Ok i havent really given it much playtime but i got bored of those maps real fast. May go back to it one day but for now its left on the shelf.

"spewing hate" too funny. you ask why there is hate for this game. i tell you why. i know since this is in the COD section that it'll be filled with fans but these are my opinions.

MW2 was a terrible game IMO. the story was awful, more secret agent stuff that special forces and full of plot holes. multiplayer was a major step back for the reasons i've mentioned above and i'm not going to repeat. added to the fact that the price of this game is higher than others, i, like others, felt very cheated. black ops single player was terrible.
because of this i rented MW3 as i did not want to be burned again. i'm glad i did. the single player was good enough, however far too short. i played multiplayer a few times and it seemed much the same. i just didn't enjoy it because i don't think it rewards skill or team play. when i say team play i mean real team play and not just safety in numbers. sure they took some of the overpowered and un-balanced stuff out, but a lot remained. and yes, C4 can blow up a shield, but having a shield in the first place is pretty stupid in my opinion. to make it more balanced how about making it weak against LMGs or even not allow players to move forward or back with the shield up. one hit kill throwing knives are also stupid, and very easy to use. especially coupled with a shield.

if you guys think its hard to use these weapons or to get these kill streaks then you must not be very good....

You could have avoided it entirely and moved on to something else. I have seen countless times where a person says they will give it a try and going in expecting the same thing only finding something new to complain about. COD isn't everybodys cup of tea but they fall into the same constant cycle. Then they make the claim that they wont buy/rent the next game but they do and it starts all over again. A dog chases his tail eventually he gets bored or tired and stops this is what complainers should do, Break the cycle.

Isn't the MOAB a nuke. It kills everyone on the map changes the color scheme of the match, it just doesn't end the game but I think it's still a nuke.

The point he's making is that you can't compare how you would do something in real life to a video game. In real life you don't re-spawn and you can't regenerate health so the real life point is null.

This isn't true either. One person can beat a camper or campers. Use a frag and a smoke screen and it's extremely easy to defeat the campers

I have played enough COD 2 and COD 4 both of which I own, MW2 and BLOPs on free weekends to know I will not like MW3.

In general I think COD is the lowest skill ceiling of any FPS game out there (but that is why its so popular), it literally is who sees who first wins there is very little chance to out manoeuvre your enemy to get the better of them due to the low health and high damage of all weapons meaning only a few shots are needed which leads to alot of players thinking that other games that have low damage and high health have poor hit registration or comments such as "WTF a full clip to take enemy out... gay"

Kill streaks I find a bit silly why reward the dominating players with more easier ways to dominate?

Camping doesn't bother me I spawn kill.
