    The Japanese games outlet recently conducted a survey asking its readers to vote its top tear-inducing releases. Final Fantasy X came out on top, with Final Fantasy VII at position eight. There are 20 total in the list, but many with the same number. This is because they have the same amount of votes. Get it all below.

    Heavy Rain should be on that list in my opinion, it was quite an emotional game, especially the first few hours (for me at least).

    Shame the game had such poor sales in Japan, every gamer should experience it.

    Thoughts?

    I agree on Heavy Rain. And I think Shadow Of The Colossus should be higher on that list, at least for me. Getting to the last boss was devastating to me.

    Some of those games didn't really made me sad or anything, they were just too corny. However...

    - FFX, I remember going "aww " at the end when:

    - Crisis Core, I don't even need to say why
    - MGS4, however only because of Chapter 4 and because of the HUGE nostalgia rush
    - Oh god NieR ;_;

    Of that list, I have only played one of those games. MGS4. No tears here. In fact, no game has brought me tears, ever. Movies on the other hand....oh man...Marley had me in tears.

    Hehe, stay away from the movie Hachiko: A Dog's Story then, that movie brought me to tears

    Nier and Metal Gear Solid 3 are the only ones from that list that made me feel sad.. Maybe Metal Gear Solid 4 also.

    I don't know why, Final Fantasy XIII is on the list. All I felt from that was disappointment and self loathing for actually playing through the whole thing.

    Yeah, I actually couldn't stop thinking about the ending of MGS3 for about a couple weeks after I completed it. Great game!

    This is a cool list, I like lists like these

    I agree that Heavy Rain should be on there. It threw me for a loop when I found out that
    was the Origami killer. That really rocked me. It didn't make me cry like a little bitch, but it did rattle me in a "WTF?" type of moment.

    I would say that the ending to Metal Gear Solid 3 made me a little teary-eyed.

    MGS4 was great. The only problem with it was that it went on and on and on! By the time it finished, I realized I had grown a long white beard!
