OH! Had no idea it was already coming back. Fucking loved the first season. Watched it on Netflix not too long ago after knowing literally nothing about it. I'll have to watch the episode online as it doesn't look like BBC America are airing it.

So what did people think of last nights episode?
It was good of course. But I definitely preferred last weeks. I didn't like the acting of the guy from being human.
It sucks to that there is only one episode left

2nd episode was a bit of a let down, but still enjoyable. to be fair the 1st episode was incredible and there's no way they were going to live up to it.

2nd episode wasn't quite as good but still enjoyable, I put the reason as to why it wasn't as good is Steven Moffat didn't write that episode, the ones he does are usually the best.
Added info for 3rd episode to OP.
Try torrent sites they usually have the episodes a day after official airing.Last edited by keefy; 01-13-2012 at 00:02.

Incredible. Can't wait til the next (in at least a year
)
As far as how he did it...
My order of preference of episodes is the same as 1st season. 1st is best, 3rd almost as good, and 2nd the "still great but let down by the quality of the others" worst.Last edited by Shibby; 01-17-2012 at 08:06.

You say that but the entire Sherlock series is based on what is is in front of us and can be seen but goes unnoticed so maybe it could be figured out by watching the footage over and over.
By the way the guy that plays Mycroft wrote episode 2Last edited by keefy; 01-17-2012 at 23:03.

Have you heard that CBS is going to do it's own modern day Sherlock called Elementary??? No offence to them, but the BBC Sherlock is sooooooo good, I really cannot see it being topped. It's funny, I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but they've picked an actor that was starring with Benedict in a play recently.
http://www.denofgeek.com/television/...y_casting.htmlIt’s fair to say that yesterday, the Internet was not impressed. News filtered through that not only was CBS still pressing ahead with its own contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes, but that it had also cast Jonny Lee Miller in the lead role.
Miller, ironically, shared the lead role in Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch at the National Theatre. The pair were both rewarded with a Best Actor prize for their work.
Cumberbatch, of course, has also won his fair share of praise for the title role in Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and Sue Vertue’s Sherlock for the BBC. And, having apparently initially enquired about a US version of Sherlock, CBS has ordered a pilot for its own version, going by the name of Elementary.
Reacting to the news, Sherlock producer Sue Vertue hinted once more at potential action, should CBS stray uncomfortably close to her show. “Jonny is a very fine actor, who I saw recently in the theatre when he and Benedict played alternative roles in Frankenstein”, she told The Independent. “Let’s hope their pilot script has stayed further away from our Sherlock than their casting choice”.
She added that “We have been in touch with CBS and informed them that we will be looking at their finished pilot very closely for any infringement of our rights”.
There’s obviously nothing stopped CBS from doing its own contemporary Sherlock Holmes-based series. But if its approach veers too closely to that of Sherlock? Then it sounds like legal action might be, and arguably should be, in the offing.

This current version is based on the books and if CBS bases theirs ont he books how much infringing can you prove?

I don't think there will be any infringement. But not because it's based on the books. It's basis in the books is pretty loose. Their whole modernized version of the story is pretty original. But there are so many nearly identical, generic crime shows that I wouldn't be able to tell them apart from one another, yet they coexist. And they coexist on competing networks and timeslots. BBC and CBS aren't even competing. The only BBC readily available in the US is BBC America and they don't even air Sherlock on it.

More news on the CBS Sherlock.
Source:http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/lucy...ot-elementary/The name is Watson, Joan Watson. Lucy Liu is set to play Sherlock Holmes’ sidekick in CBS’ drama pilotElementary, whose tweaks to Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic include switching Watson’s gender to female. The project, written by Robert Doherty, is set in present day and stars Jonny Lee Miller as eccentric Brit Sherlock Holmes, a former consultant to Scotland Yard whose addiction problems led him to a rehab center in New York City. Just out of rehab, Holmes now lives in Brooklyn with “sober companion” Joan Watson (Liu), a former surgeon who lost her license after a patient died, while consulting for the NYPD. Michael Cuesta is directing the pilot, produced by CBS TV Studios and Timberman/Beverly. Ally McBeal alumna Liu, who had 2 pilots vying for her, is recurring on the current season of the TNT cop drama Southland and will next be seen in the feature Man With The Iron Fists.

Well, I guess it is a new take on Sherlock.... and helps differentiate itself.

All I know is if it is anywhere near as good as the BBC Sherlock, then I'll be watching it haha. I hope (but doubt) that will be the case.

Sherlock the junky Holmes and Joan Watson the bumbling surgeon struck off because she killed a patient.
I can see this being a comedy/farce rather than a drama.Last edited by keefy; 02-28-2012 at 18:59.
