My 60 gb first gen ps3 died a sad sad death last night. And for no apparent reason. I've heard many stories about ps3s ylod after huge hours of gaming, but mine hadn't been turned on for over 2 days when it happened. Now all it's good for is beeping 3 times really quick when hitting the power button. Hooray.
Worst part is that i had bought the extended warranty on it, and that expired in august. Its a sad sad valentines day.

That's a real shame, Crazyshady, and especially just after your ext. warranty ran out
This begs the question, what happens when the older machines at this stage are returned and cannot be fixed (assuming they can be returned)? One has to bite the bullet and buy a Slim?
