I'd wager that the people who think TM looks like shit are the ones who didn't play the originals.

They were INSANELY fun, and this is going to be no exception.

I would say TM is an acquired taste. It's not mindless killing like COD. There's more tactics involved. you have to work for your kills.

one of the biggest downfalls in recent gaming is the need to have superior graphics, which always equals horrible gameplay mechanics. put to much into the graphics the gameplay itself suffers. MGS4 says hello to my point

Even new PC gamers just getting into PC gaming are becoming that way. If you base a games enjoyment off of graphics, whewwwww!

Might have been known around, but it's nice of him to go out and make a statement like this. Not sure if I'll have the money a month from now when this game rolls out on store shelves, but I'll definitely get this game at some point in time.

I was a huge fan of TM when I was younger but I just can't really get excited about this one. I don't see nothing wrong with the game from what I've seen here but it just doesn't grip me like it used to. In the past I was ecstatic about the thought of a new TM but I'm not really that psyched as I thought I would be. I'm sure I will pick it up at some point but it will be later in the year for sure.

I bought a PlayStation 1 after playing the original Twisted Metal and I feel the same way. I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually but won't be waiting for the store to open on launch day by any means.

EDIT: Lame article/thread title. The honesty of Jaffe is refreshing.

abso-fucking-lutely. i still have the original demo disc from ps1 in '95 and TM blew me away it was so fun, and it was only a DEMO. of course i was hooked since. and i think everyone who played the old ones back in the day is stoked for this one. not saying everyone is like that, but you know act 4 in MGS4 was 10thousand times better if you played the original back when it came out

There were a couple of really awful Twisted Metal games that released, but David had nothing to do with those. It was 989 studios that released all the crappy Twisted Metal games. All the ones David has done have all been very good.

Are you on something? LOL...Uncharted 2 and 3 , best graphics on consoles of this gen and the gameplay mechanics are far from horrible lol. Seriously...

That was my favourite part of the whole game. It was a great addition.
