Call for all Artists! - PSU Competition

That is his name.

Some of you have been sort of joking around with this name, as it kept popping up in the lists of active members, birthdays, etc...but really it was just a placeholder for a list that isn't populating correctly. However, some of you have been having a good time at our expense with this made up character. Even some Chuck Norris style jokes have even come up joking about Array. Funny stuff!

So we have a proposal:

We would like to have someone "realize" Array as an actual character that will be displayed when PSU goes down for maintenance (planned or otherwise). It has to be clean, but be creative! The character should be original art, no photos. It needs to be a newly created person, not manipulated. This is a character creation contest, not a Photoshop manipulation test!



Prizes to be determined, but the chosen design will be given something for sure!

Submissions will be posted here, no end date as of now, and once we feel we have enough submissions we will poll for a winner!

'array' is a coding term.. Er for lack of a better word. It's a structure similar to a 'variable'- infact it IS a variable.

Previously the forum would erroneously display 'array' as a user who was online.. In reality the 'array' is what would hold all of the users (think of it like a big variable) and then display them.

Yeah, Array is just a tech issue with the forum, but a lot of folks here started joking around with him.

So, as a result, I thought it would be cool to sort of get him realized and start using it on some PSU related items.

Actually my impression was quite a few people didn't know. According to the the thread where it first popped up, people were genuinely curious.

Not saying ALL of them are lol. Just throwing that out there for people who don't know.
