What games have been out forever, that you still havent bought?

So i was just recently going through my collection of ps3 games, (about 87 now) and i just realized theres a ton of incomplete sets in my collection.l Im normally one of those guys who cant just have the sequel to a game, i hvae to play and own the first one in order to play and own the second one.

Okay, Assassins creed and Uncharted are probably the only game series i own each installation of. And MLB The Show dating back to 07 when it first hit the PS3 (im pretty sure 06 was only on ps2, if not i will be keeping an eye out). Since then hundreds of games have come out, and im just realizing theres a TON of games out there i've gotten really excited about, and then when they released, never bought, borrowed, rented or attempted to pick up. Has that happened to anyone else? If so what games?

Heres a bunch that i wanted but never bought.

Star Wars Force Unleashed 2 - mustve passed it up new for 10 bucks a dozen times by now.
Overlord 2 - I had a ton of fun with the first one
Portal 2 - still really want to but im too busy with skyrim.
Batman Arkham city - want it now that everyones given it rave reviews, but never played the first one.
Ico/Shadow collection - Always wanted to try them out, still havent.
Dead Space 2 - I own the first one, havent even unwrapped it after 2 years, cant get it until the first ones beaten
Bioshock 2 - never beat the first one, so i have to wait until then
Duke Nukem - Never picked it up either even though its dirt cheap now


Those are just ones off the top of my head, theres a ton more. Anyone else go through the same thing?

red dead redemption - gutted i didnt get this )
Resistance 3 - didn't get it due to the old online pass rules)
ratchet all for 1 - the first ratchet game i've ever skipped)
eye of judgement -one of those games I dropped from to buy list due to winter overload of games)
white Knight chronicles: origins (?) [psp] - just didnt end up buying it.

shadow of the collossus - wasnt too aware of it at the time

can't think of anymore for now. Most games I've missed that are multiplat i've often gotten on steam. I unfortunately missed dues ex on the christmas steam sale

@inzane2050: I think it's panzer dragoon or something. Definately isnt skies of arcadia which had nothing to do with hunting dragons. Skies of arcadia is the sky pirate rpg on dreamcast and gamecube

I haven't bought Uncharted 3 and MW3. I know they are somewhat new but since I have all the past games of the two series, it's strange that I haven't bought them yet. Main reason I haven't bought them is Battlefield 3. I can't leave that game. Maybe I will buy Uncharted 3 but as for the MW3....I'm finished with that garbage

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection - Waiting till its $20 or so since I own MGS 2 and 3, and dont really have any desire to play em again
F.E.A.R. 3 - Found it for $20, contemplating picking this one up this week
Prince of Persia Classic Trilogy HD - Due to the bad port job im waiting till its $20 since I dont own Warrior Within.
Tomb Raider Trilogy - Waiting till its $20 since I "own" the third one

ps3 duh! It comes with dlc AND it runs on ME3 engine which makes it look a bit better.

I may also buy the ratchet and clank games at some point (never played em before)

To everyone that said Deus Ex: Human Revolution, please do yourselves a favor and pick it up. It really is a gem. You can get it for $30 on Amazon brand new. It's one of the best games I've played this generation.

For me, I still want to try Resistance 3, Rayman Origins, and RAGE.

You're wrong. There are no Parasite Eve games on the PS2. The first and the second are on the PS1/PSN, and the third game, a spin-off which story is related to the first two yet it plays completely different, The 3rd Birthday, is on the PSP.

Jade Cacoon was the name, not Parasite Eve. I had trouble remembering. I played a few hours in as a rental and loved it.
