    a Burnout Paradise sequel?

Having returned to Burnout Paradise the past few days and remembering how good it is (this must ring true for others as the online servers are busy), i was wondering if Criterion will grace the consoles with a sequel? (and i mean a proper one, not that darn burnout crash downloadable game haha)

Hmm, I dunno. I was playing it quite recently again too and remembered how badass it was So would be great if they made another one

Burnout Paradise is a great game no doubt, but I think Criterion may have hit the brick wall. BP includes pretty much all the features from existing burnout games (except crash mode) and throws it into an open world setting, to top it off you know there struggling for new features when they throw in a stunt mode, true of any game.

I don't see where they could take the game from here. The only thing they could put into the game, would be a car builder and perhaps online track builder.

I'd love to see a new Burnout game, just don't see them doing it any time soon.

Very true.. Burnout Paradise is such a complete game, it really is everything a Burnout fan could ask for.

Another thing is that after Paradise, Criterion went on to make Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit... so who knows what they are working on now

Yeah, it's been a while since Criterion had any big releases (Nov, 2010), so I expect something coming this Fall. I'm sure something will be announced at E3.

Burnout Paradise was awesome and as TreeFrog said, it pretty much can't get much better. Having said that though, I think I'd buy a new Burnout game that was almost exactly like Paradise just in a new city with new cars etc...

I preyed to see a sequel when I was playing paradise a while ago, but it never happened. The only thing I would want changed is to make it four player split screen. Still open world and all.

That would be worth whatever price they put on the box.

    I don't want a Paradise sequel, I want a classic Burnout game.

The whole Open-World thing was fun to mess about in, but it shouldn't have been the full game.
Driving too find races isn't fun. the frustration of taking a wrong turn during a hit-speed race isn't fun.

I want the classic Burnout back, With actually courses.

I agree. As much as i love Burnout Paradise, the fact that it was open world made it more frustrating than anything else... BUT, the game had a lot of cool features... bike races, cops chases, mini cars and many more.

I really really hope Criterion makes another Burnout game, but not open world, maybe interactive races or multiple paths...

Burnout Paradise turns 4years old the 22nd of this month. Play the game to celebrate I arranged a Burnout party with my buddies I met on that game. We've been a family since.

I'd never played burnout paradise until the PSN outage and we got PS+ for free for a month, burnout was the free game to try.

I got the platinum for during the free PS+ subscription and thought it was fantastic. I've just recently bought the complete edition off the PS store as the DLC looks quality and with a lot of content. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in on it and would be over the moon for a sequel. The amount of additional content is almost the equivalent to a complete new game though so can't really see it happening.
