Not a surprise, but good to hear. DIdn't really care for the last street fighter and the inevitable super de duper versions and so have barely played fighting games in a while, but, i this is good i'll jump back in

Well i kinda knew this was coming as they had already stated they were looking into it, and im really excited to learn more about this. What i want to know is if this is going to be a direct port from the console version with added features, or if its going to be a completely different game. I would really love to be able to port over my save from PS3 for all the unlocked goodies ive already got.

my other question is will we be seeing the same cast? Dont get me wrong, i absoloutly loved the cast from the console version, i thought it was very complete aside from the lack of launch day Rain. I just think it would be a nice incentive to buy the Vita version of the game so you could play as people like Shao Kahn and Motaro and Kintaro and Goro, and others that werent included in last years revival.

Mortal Kombat has been confirmed for Sony's upcoming handheld gamng device the PS Vita, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive and developer NetherRealm Studios promising "an experience designed specifically for on-the-go gaming," set to bring "brand new gameplay features and content" when it launches in Spring 2012.

Mortal Kombat will aim straight for Capcom's juggular with it's Vita debut, too. "The original game content and new features we developed for the PlayStation Vita will provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform," said NetherRealm boss and MK creator Ed Boon.

Expect more details on the new features in the months leading up to launch.

That's a good title to have on the system. I can't wait for the price to be lowered and I get all of these goodies at bargin bin prices. Just hope the controls can be fluid and non-clunky.
