What's with all the doom and gloom?
Anyways, my take on the game! Silver's perspective
Well, it's been a while and i finally got to play the demo. I'm gonna start by saying the game is overall good but i do have a few complaints. I'll start with the pros first.
pros
1. The game is one of the best looking games.
2. You get not one but three campaigns. That's a really good deal.
3. All the three of the campaigns take a different approach. For instance leon's campaign is going back the old feeling of the RE games imo and Chris is mostly action. So you get the best of both worlds.
Cons
1. So what's up with the iphone 5 that heals! I guess there's a app for everything.(Really annoying)
2. I didn't like the whole last stand thing, where you fall down and your partner can save you. It removes a part of what Re is and i didn't care for it.
3. I felt that controls are weird and this is probably one of my own personal pet peeves.
Closing thoughts
Most of the cons we're really personal opinion but overall this game is worth getting. I feel like the influence of COD has touched this game and it's not really a bad thing but it doesn't sit right with a lot of RE fans. It's just a matter of things that don't feel like Re but i personally will get past that and play it.

They made it boring. I didn't enjoy the demo at all. This goes to show that Capcom does not need to give their IP to another developer to screw it up. They can manage that all on their own.
It may have been a better decision to hand off Resident Evil to another developer.

They did hand off RE to a different developer, and we got ORC, which is awful IMO. And knowing Capcom, they'd probably find some obscure studio to handle it for cheap.
The new DMC looks terrible. They should have just named it Teen Angst.__________

You can laugh all you want. Capcom has been the one doing Resident Evil so far and they haven't really improved the series.
It's time for someone new who understands what made the old one's so great and try to capture the same experience taking new gameplay aspects in mind.
That's why they shouldn't just give it to anyone. ORC should be a lesson for them. Don't use that developer again.

Silent Hill Downpour is better survival horror than is either RE5 or the RE6 demo, and it's far from the best Silent Hill. Capcom needs to give the series to another developer, no question.
Shut up and play games

Actually Silent Hill Downpour sucks. It's like a mediocre jump-scare game.
Dead Space and Siren: The Curse are good survival horrors from this gen.

At first I had only tried Leon's demo and commented. Now I have tried Chris's campaign and Jake's.....and what in the world was Capcom thinking?
Chris's campaign is awful. Jake's is alright. I think Leon's is the only decent one but even it's not great.

I re-played the Leon demo and after getting use to the controls and turning the brightness up the demo is actually pretty fun.
I really like the use of physical attacks. Dodging is useful and you feel pretty bad-ass when used to escape something and finish the kill.
I'm still not buying day one though.I talk to myself because I'm the only one whose answers I accept.

Not sure if we are posting reviews in here since the game is out, but PSU.com's verdict is now live:

Users don't need to troll review scores. Lol.
I've never seen reviews scores drop that low for a popular title.Game Informer (88/100): "That metamorphosis into insane action is front and center in Resident Evil 6, and bringing a buddy along for the chaos is great fun. The game's minor flaws don't hold back the decadent experience from being an unhinged, flaming rollercoaster ride."
Eurogamer (60/100): "This game is blind to imagination and focus. Capcom's uncertainty about the series' identity post-Mikami (and post-Uncharted) is hardcoded into its structure: four campaigns offering different, flawed expressions of that potential. And the inevitable price for this wavering is a lack of coherence."
Edge (60/100): "In always trying to offer something more, Resident Evil 6 fails to refine what it has already given you. And whatever else you might say about the game, it achieves something that its predecessor never did: it steps out of Resident Evil 4's shadow and becomes its own game. Sadly, it's a game that redefines the series as a loose collection of action scenarios with a shared theme of mild sci-fi horror."
Gamespot (45/100): "The Bad: Loads of bad, overlong quick-time events –Excruciating overemphasis on mediocre set piece events –Ruins the pace by constantly ripping control from you – Poorly executed scripted events lead to unavoidable deaths."
Destructoid (30/100): "It's not enough to say that Resident Evil 6 is poor as a Resident Evil game. That alone implies there could be a quality experience if fans can get past their preconceptions and feelings of betrayal. No, Resident Evil 6 is poor by the standards of any game, not just the high ones set by its own legacy."Last edited by Blacksite; 10-02-2012 at 18:52.

Geez, Destructoid pretty much took a giant creamy poo all over Resident Evil 6.
PSU's review seems to be pretty even-handed about its impressions, though.

I'm actually enjoying RE6 as much as any other entry of the series, but the poor reviews put a bitter taste in my month, not because it ruins my enjoyment, no I want let it
But because Capcom (of all companies) will listen to those reviews and act upon it
RE was the last in Capcom stable to not be handed off to a western company and turned into a mediocre budget game with high profile brand on it, chances are now higher then before
The reviews are completely out there, the gamespot one is beyond retarded
The game does have its flaws, but none of the reviews listed them
But for me the campaigns should have been chronologically streamlined, or atleast a option for it
It does break the game playing it the wrong way, perhaps thats what the reviewer did?
But they still had too bad points and list none of the good points 6 has over previous RE games and other releases, which it does
I hope no one listens to the reviews and try the game for them selfs
For anyone interested I can post the correct order the game is supposed to played story wise?
