Leon looks BADASS. Imo he looks 10x better.
And those saying it wasn't scary need to realize that trailers never invoke fear. Trailers are always focused on action.

There's a good mix of influences in this game, there's the fast action of COD games, cover mecanics of gears and probably more but you know what, the game looks amazing ! I think the serie needed to evolve somehow and keep up with the times... there seems to be some sick spooky moments witch would make me adore the game even more + the fact that there's zombies and the Resident Evil 2 atmosphere, i'm damn sold !

This is a major teaser, i already want to play this bad boy !

It seems like he put on some extra muscle after coming back to America. Or maybe he was always that muscular. I haven't played Resident Evil 4 in a while.

Was much better than what I expected. And seems to have three different stories in three different places.
We got the best character in RE-series Leon, rock punching Chris and a guy made for "I wanna play as Wesker" people.

And no, at least the main series is not even going back to your old clunky RE horror style. Just stop hoping for it.

I wish it never goes back to the fixed camera style. RE4 was perfect. And I watched this trailer twice, and I'm going to stop now. Too much excitement is bad for your body.

I'm impressed. I assumed RE6 would be a lot like 5, I'm not a massive fan of the series but enjoyed 4 and 5, looks like this is going to be awesome

It looks like Leon's sections will be old school zombie shooting, Chris' will be all his military stuff and the new guy, well, can't say much but I'm excited to see more!

Hyped for this game already. It looks like Capcom has taken the criticism that RE5 got to heart, and are returning back to their roots. Plus they're throwing Leon and Chris into the same game, which is something I'd heard plenty of people said they want in the past.

I think it's also in party due to the fact that the game hasn't gone through some of the polishing stages yet. I suspect the final product will be more aesthetically pleasing.

Maybe it is really dante and he just had a name changed because hes embarrassed by the new ninja theory game so snuck into resident evil.

everything looks "resident evil 4-ish," so looks like hard core fans are going to be happy!

i'll just repeat myself here: all i want is that they retain the "stationary aiming and red laser sight." as far as "over the shoulder aim-3rd person shooter," the capcom resident evil franchise does it best and still my favorite. its fluid, free flow shot placement on enemies is what appeals to me the most. precision is the game.

Anyway, new info on the official RE twitter page:

-RE 6 is about 2 years in development,
-Hundreds of people working on it
-Demo planned, info in the coming months ( I'm guessing it'll be offered with RE: Raccoon City or Dragon's Dogma )
-Zombies are a bit different to what you may be used to ( Someone on gaf spotted one holding a club or something in that nature in the trailer)
-On the JP RE 6 website there's a Kinect logo, nothing for Move as far as I can tell

Resident Evil 6 Trailer Analysis: Here’s What You Missed- Cover shooting, multiple characters and more

It’s been a long time since Resident Evil 5 came out, and we finally have some new details from the trailer Capcom just revealed. First of all, check out the trailer below, it features more than 3-minutes of footage and shows some new characters from the game.

The game will be released on November 20th for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Details:
- The game has co-op. It is confirmed.
- Leon and Chris will work together. They are both playable. For the first time ever, these two characters will be in a same game.
- Ashley seems to be back.
- The game is action oriented. Capcom are calling it ‘dramatic horror’.
- The game is set 10 years after the Racoon city incident.
- There will be multiple playable characters.
- The graphics are much improved over Resident Evil 5. It looks much more crispy and features a lot of neat visual effects. The lighting and textures are also impressive.
- China is under threat from a bio-terror attack.
- The game is a globe-trotting adventure.
- There will be a deep melee combat system
- Hunnigan is in the trailer at 1:05
- You can see some beautiful Chinese locations which also showcases the lighting tech.

- The ability to slide into cover will also be featured into game, as seen at 2:45.
- Players can also sprint this time around, as seen at 1:44.
- There is a new character in the game. He is an ex-mercenary, by the looks of it, and is also a playable character.
- The game will have diverse shooting, more than just the traditional Resident Evil over-the-shoulder gameplay style.
- There seems to be a large focus on set-pieces, and maybe even a few vehicle sections.
- You fight huge bosses in the game. El Gigante type enemy shown in the trailer.
- Normal zombies shown.

Single Player (Leon- RE4 mechanics with improvement)

Co-Op mode (Chris and Team- Gears of War type style of gameplay)

Mercenaries (New Guy- Vanquish type gameplay)

Let me take a stab at it, Leon fights off a zombie outbreak in a city RE4 Style, Chris does some spec-ops in China
New guy and his girlfriend bring the co-op in a unknown location
And I guess Leon and Chris join up at the end

Meh. I don't think we have enough information about the game to start making these assumptions. I think this game has a chance to be an excellent Resident Evil title.

Nuvian, thanks for posting all that extra info.

The ability to sprint, use acrobatic moves as well as effectively use cover should really bring the franchise to the present. RE5 was fun, but felt reallyyy clunky.
