Playstation tweeted that the Playstation Network will be down for longer than expected tonight. The network is projected to complete maintenance by midnight PST. Playstation also declared that you will not be affected if you are already online.

I've been signing in and out all night and I haven't had any interruption of PSN service at all.

I did signed in yesterday night as well but noticed that the PS Store was offline.
