SourceHideo Kojima has posted several new shots on Twitter showcasing the opening video for the upcoming multiplatform compilation, Zone of the Enders HD Collection. The new footage is being done by Sunrise, a renowned Japanese anime studio responsible for several popular series like Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam SEED, Inu Yasha, Outlaw Star, Vision of Escaflowne and many more..
Zone of the Enders HD Collection contains remastered ports of Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (known in Japan as Anubis: Zone of the Enders). Zone of the Enders was released for the Playstation 2 in North America on March 1, 2001. The sequel came out on the same system on February 13, 2003.
What kind of games are these?

I don't get the interest in these games, they just look like robot fighting mash'em'up games to me.
Trophy-licious!

Zone of Enders 2 felt like a next gen game on PS2 for me. The gameplay was fun and the graphics were AMAZING for PS2. This is a definite must day 1 buy for me. It is one of those underrated, unknown gaming experiences. So so so cool, I can only drool at the idea of playing it in 720pish and HD upgrade.

I saw this thread title from the main page and it cut off at "Enders..." I knew in my heart that it wouldn't be ZOE3, but GOD did I hope against hope. This is cool, too, though. I definitely plan on giving it a look. Zone of the Enders 2 was by far one of the most memorable journeys I took on the PS2.
But fucking christ, Kojima, where is the third one? I would gladly forfeit future MGS titles to see a ZOE3.

It's not really a good way to measure demand for a 3rd game. it's almost like them saying "if we don't get enough sales on HD remakes of the game, we wont make a 3rd" that right there is just generic and as for a cartoon looking in HD, big deal. I may sound negative but my goodness, make at least a new installment to the freakin series.

I've only played the second one, but trust me, it's flat out awesome. The gameplay will blow you away. It's so sleek and fast-paced. 10X better than any Gundam game.
It's a very short game. Might only take you about 5 hours, but it's pure quality. Good story, epic set pieces, great music, etc.

I vaguely remember playing Z.O.E. I can't really remember if I liked it and I'm certain I never did get round to beating it, so I'll probably pass on this collection.

I had no intentions of becoming a leader. It is as a warrior how I shall be remembered, but these are hardly numbers worth dying for.

I guess I dont understand why people like this game. I could only watch a minute of that youtube video before I had to turn it off. Maybe you need to like that anime crap or something.

Ummm...no. It's not just a robot fighting mash'em'up game. It's THE robot fighting mash'em'up game. It plays like nothing ever before. Not like Armored Core, not like Virtual On. Not like Omega Boost. It makes all those games seem slow motion in comparison. (well, maybe not Omega Boost)
The boss fights in ZOE2 are particularly spectacular.
Bring on ZOE 3!!!!Shinei!
