Persona 4 for PS Vita adds new areas, mopeds

Persona 4: The Golden more than just a straight port of the RPG classic



Persona 4 launched late in the Playstation 2's lifespan, meaning it unfortunately wasn't on the radar for many gamers. That's why the game's PS Vita port seems a perfect chance for RPG junkies to enjoy this classic entry in the series, and we're hoping that Atlus makes the decision to bring the game to American Vita owners. Though for those of us who've already played Persona 4, it's worth questioning whether this portable release will have anything new to offer.

Well, what more could you ask for than mopeds?!

Siliconera reports that Persona 4 features not only a new town and beach area, but also the ability to ride around on a spiffy little scooter. Not only can you presumably use the moped to get around from area to area, but it seems there will also be the ability to use your bike in battle?
Exciting news for Persona fans to be sure. Though now that a Persona fighting game is on the way, we're crossing our fingers for a full-fledged moped racing game as well!

I was going to get the Vita day one but maybe I'll wait until this is released for the states. All the extra content it's going to have is sounding really good.

One thing I will be sadden by this is that I won't be able to transfer my save file into this. I took a long time getting Lucifer with Victory Cry and the immortal Helel along with Yoshitsune

They better extend the length of the game. I know that they cut January through March for the final ending so hopefully we'll get those months available for this game.

Yeh I never played it but watching the Anime now. I will def pick this up.

I never played a Persona before. I'm assuming I need to complete the first three giving the numerical titles? Or is it like Final Fantasy?

i could never get into persona games...dungeons are a little to repetitive for me and everything is to "Japanese".I might have to give this one a shot tough since it'll probably be one of the firt rpg's for vita.

Depends whether or not Namco get their act together and localise Tales of Innocence R this year.

Afaik it's like FF I picked up P3 and am a few hours in and am having no troubles with it.

I doubt I'll finish it, but I'm keen to play this version of 4. RPGs on portable devices are much handier imo

That's encouraging. Though they did a great job remaking and re-releasing the first three games with extras on the PSP.

I hope this means we're going to hear about Persona 5 soon.
