Personally I can just play any game from any period no matter what the graphics are like, FF7 hasn't aged as well as many SNES 2D titles but I had no issues the past month replaying FF7 on my HDTV.

Just in case you were referencing my post in that; the graphics are not an issue for me in the re playability, it's more the story and all the other bits that I thought were great back in the day but now being older, have a different opinion on entirely. I also play oldies still

I think the story holds up well with some of the best today. I think the first 7 hours or so are very cheesy but once the story kicks in it goes full bore. Some of the characters are annoying though. Mostly Yuffie and Barret. I think Barret would work well in another game just not this one.

I think the story is still one of the best. The script has a few issues mainly due to Sony's rushed translation, some parts were a bit messed up in translation (I believe the Aerith flashback at Sector 7 Station was one of them). I have the International version off JPSN and will do a playthrough at some point and see how much was mistranslated.

I will always say Aeris, it just rolls better. Aeriththththththth.
Man who chase after bus get exhausted, man who run in front of bus get tired
Man who masturbates in class has firm grip of subject at hand
Woman who sink in man's arms soon have arms in man's sink

I do that too.
Aeris is a translation error on Sony's part (surprise!) from the Japanese name Earisu, she's called Aerith in all later games. Also in the debug room on FF7 she's called Aerith there, so for some reason Sony only made the s mistake in the name selection screen for her which obviously affects the rest of the game.

Aerith's original Japanese name is エアリス Earisu. This has been transliterated to "Aeris" in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy Tactics, but later as "Aerith". Both transliterations have basis, as the Japanese "su" (ス) is used when transcribing "s" (/s/) and "th" (/θ/) to Japanese. However, official Japanese material uses the spelling "Aerith" and developers have stated that "Aerith" is a near-anagram of "Earth".
I personally use Aerith
By the way Aerith's Theme is one of the most beautiful pieces of art i've ever heard, especially in orchestra version, even though i'm a much bigger fan of Tifa as a character.

aerith sounds like an interior decorator with a lisp. most japanese translations are way off, hence: engrish

Let's be honest: You sleep with anything that walks on two legs. Sometimes, you're not even that discriminating
