Do any of you have that friend where If you find a game first and you think it's great, they will not like it because you are the one that liked it first?

I'm serious, I have a friend that whenever I like a game first, he will not like it. I know this is the case because I busted him on it. He forgot one time that I was excited about skyrim before it came out, so he ended up liking it then told me about the trailers he's seen. After he bought the game I finally told him that I was the one that said to him "This game is going to be sweet" now he doesn't play the game anymore, right after I told him that. o.O honestly, Is this some kind of compulsive derp disorder or something?

So far it's every single game I tell him about he will not like it just because I discovered it before him. Do any of you guys have a friend like this? I know I am not the only one but it's just annoying. My sister is like this with certain things also.

nah, he's a good friend, it's just this one thing and it's with games that he does this on. He will try to explain why he doesn't like it but it's so full of shit it's rather pathetic. Even when I was talking to his brother, his brother said the same thing and even he doesn't understand it. It's kind of funny but also annoying, I haven't called him out on it on yet but I'm about to if he does it one more time. I know it's not just me that is surrounded by people like this.

Both my friend and I love gaming, I've liked it ever since was a little kid playing the Atari. My friend never used to be like this but it could be a case of Marijuana burnout. He's pretty burnt out but this started in the middle of the PS2 time frame.

Yes I know someone exactly like that. We used to be good friends back in the day but the friendship has faded due to living further apart and all the rest. But he definitely still the same chap as before!

It's annoying and sad as fuck, and like someone else mentioned, it's not just games. It's music and everything else

Sounds like his friend thinks he has very bad judgement........Or his friend really wants to have opposite taste in everything.

This tends to happen when someone is envious or jealous of you. They try to make you think your opinion does not matter, or maybe that it is a poor opinion. They will do this to try to make themselves look or feel better. In their own eyes of course.

To explain my friend:

He's similar to yours, but much more ignorant because he's a fanboy. He's one of those people that keep the economy going by buying pointless shit. For example, he buys every NBA 2k game, UFC game, Wrestling game and Dragon Ball Z game that come out each year. I even told him that it's fucking pointless to buy that because it's literally the same shit, with one or two new modes. He then replied to me that it has a new and updated roster. But if I can play an NBA Live or NBA 2K game from a year or two back, I can easily trade players to their respective teams, positions and change their stats to current. I really don't understand him sometimes.

And he's one of those guys that says something is a piece of shit but then tries it out and buys it. He even does that with movies. He hated the shit out of Captain America, yet I saw it in his library. But the thing I hate the most about him is when I let him borrow games and he doesn't even touch them for months. But I'm gonna get my games back next time and I won't lend him anything except movies cause he doesn't seem to have problems with that.

And I know I might be at risk of him reading this, but too bad. I'm too much of a pussy to say it to his face because he does have some enjoyable qualities as my friend, but he pisses me off sometimes. Sorry bro, you just do.

Well he's not a sports nut..instead of all those pointless games, he could have more variety of games. And there's nothing wrong with gamers enjoying classics. It's when they cram it down other people's throats that retro gaming is better than next-gen when it becomes a problem. Are you really gonna condemn someone for playing Ocarina of Time?
