SourceAlthough Jak and Daxter Collection is just a few days away from launch, critics have yet to weight in on the game. There is, however, a very positive review inside the pages of the latest issue of Game Informer.
The publication gave the package a 9.25 / 10. It was the highest-scoring title in the magazine’s March edition.
Speaking about the overall collection, reviewer Matt Helgeson noted, “While the Jak series shows its age in some respects, it remains one of the most ambitious and well-executed platforming franchises ever made”. Helgeson concludes by saying that “Naughty Dog’s work in this franchise endures thanks to great characters, finely tuned gameplay, and a unceasing inventiveness.”
Jak and Daxter Collection will go on sale this Tuesday for the PlayStation 3. All three games – Jak 1, 2, and 3, – feature improved visuals, trophies, and 3D support.
I just got started on the Sly collection, really looking forward to this one as well.

Played and loved all 3, but in terms of pure platforming delight, much like the sly trilogy, the first one was the pinnacle.

Can't wait to sink my teeth back into these, the trophies look enjoyable too. Bring on the Metal heads and Precursor Orbs (Or should I say "Strange Relic")!!

Yup I'm getting this collection for sure. It seems like I'm playing more ps2 remakes than ps3 games lately. I'll pick this up as soon as I finish the god of war origins collection and the Ico collection lol. I can't wait to relive the precursor legacy!!
