Sony should push for Infinity blade and other Mobile games

Since they have to partner with sony, they won't be as cheap, but it should be cheaper than most psn arcade games imo,

Flo, IMO Sony should leave the smartphone apps alone UNLESS they can fight the 99 cent price war. Else Sony and Nintendo should just focus on attracting users to handheld systems by selling their strengths while keeping the price of ownership low. I think if Nintendo and Sony can sell decently powerful hardware for say $100 to $150 while keeping games @ $20 they will be able to convince even casual gamers to purchase these products to get a richer gaming experience.

If you can't beat them, join them is my motto.Sure it won't be99 cents on psn, but 1.99-4.99 is not a bad pricerange and keeps vita relavant inthe long run,3 years from now, where the graphics might not be the hottest thing.

I'm only talking about psn arcadegames, and also, they need to take a page from ms book and create an indie section, just for the vitsa/psn

This is what PS Suite is going to be for(cheap mobile games). There are already games around .99 to 4.99 on PSN with minis; which are basically small mobile games. I think PS Suite is going to replace the minis, which should allow for more variety(both games and apps), wider range of audience(all PS Certified devices) and cheaper prices.

It's not on PS Suite(might have been intended for it), but Samurai & Dragons is F2P with microtransactions like many mobile games. I also doubt this is going to be the last of games like this on the PSVita.

Infinity Blade might not be on the PSVita or if it ever is there might be plans to make it more of a full game(combination of it and the tech demos we seen from Epic on the PSVita).

They need to get Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII on it, I'd buy a special edition bundle and everything like I did with the Crisis Core one.

@ Flo, They don't really have to beat Apple (I use Apple as the example because they are the 800# gorilla). Their core customer bases are different although most gamers also have Apple devices and this is pretty much where I'm going with this. They just need to sell their handhelds as another affordable "must have" gadget but not as a direct competitor to Apple otherwise they will end up competing with Samsung, Motorola etc etc (Sony will compete with itself even).

Sony can't (and shouldn't) compete with smartphone games imo.
I buy their consoles for the full fledged titles not for those minigames (everyone has a phone for that anyway).

Let the peasants play their minigames i'll play the premium stuff

Agreed, Infinity Blade would be nice and maybe the only exception but like others were saying keep the smartphone games on the smartphones.

Sony should stick to core games and let phones keep their microtransactions.

If people want 99c games they have phones, Sony and the Vita is where some more substantial (for lack of a better word. I do like some mobile games) gaming experiences are at. Why should Sony conform to the mobile standard? Surely the Vita can house some kind of middleground with $30, $40 games which are great experiences. IMO you DO get what you pay for in terms of ios vs Vita games

I think they should definitely look at some of the mobile market's big hitters.

The Vita is clearly capable of touch screen gaming so why not? As a customer, I'll always support having more choice.

I believe this what the ps suite is for.. It will be called playstation pocket.

The sdk called the ps suite will go on open beta on April.. Soon app-size games will be available for vita including smartphones and tablets that are playstation certified.

The question is how easy is it to develop for the ps suite, because if it's as easy as the iOS, we'll soon see 99€ games on the playstation pocket.

I'm sure the small developers will not turn their heads away from the ps suite provided it's very easy to develop for. Soon there will close to 2 million ps vita owners who are sure gamers as opposed to millions of iPhone and iPad owners who are satisfied playing angry birds all day. And there are a lot of free games on the AppStore, I'm sure it's not easy to make Money on games in the AppStore. Any reasonable developer will want to develop for ps suite.

Playstation pocket market = ps vita and most future Sony experia phone and tablets.

Htc will also soon release playstation certified phones as well. Other smartphone makers will join I'm sure if the ps suite will be successful which is I don't doubt will happen. The ps vita alone as the market is already lucrative, as all of the owners are willing to pay as high as $49 for good games. 99€ games will not be a hard sell.

Again it still depends on how hard or easy it is to develop for the ps suite. Sony is claiming it to be very easy allowing for home brew and small developers easy market.

The game is really very popular and the best part of the game was it is becoming more and more popular day to day with out any backlogging or other risk factors. Many others members of various companies are in search of the modifications and the pitfalls of the game but no opportunity of finding that. Please produces some more attachments for the more detailed view.
