Of course, Ninja Gaiden's mere existence on a Sony platform has led to all kinds of speculation about Ninja Gaiden 2 going multiplatform. While you can apparently never say never, if what I know is true, then Xbox 360 owners can rest assured that NG2 is being developed exclusively for Xbox 360. Will it come to PS3 four years later? I tend to think, given the schedule that Team NINJA has set for themselves over the next half a decade -- which is an exceptionally busy one -- that they will not port the game either.

So is Team Ninja done with Xbox 360 development? Hardly. Itagaki explained to Game Informer Online that this PS3 team was hand picked to bring the Ninja Gaiden experience to a broader audience. He stated that he was still extremely dedicated to the Xbox 360 platform, and that any new projects from Team Ninja would be released on the Xbox 360. Does that mean Ninja Gaiden 2? We believe so...

If not, I will be ANGRY (well not, if they can give something else good, but I would rather see first video/info from NG2).
And it's nice that NG2 is going to utilize 360's powers and not getting "nerfed" and be multiplatform.

I'm not sure...If i remember right he was the one that said in an interview that the x360 will be the 1st system for his games,before other platforms releases.But that remains to be seen.

kind of, let them taste ninja gaiden and if they want to play the sequel they would have to get a x360. don't think it will work though with games like heavenly sword and dmc4.

It will probably be the same deal as Sigma. PS3 will get Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma, at the PS4 launch if Sigma sells well.

Yeah just what a developer wants right? TEAM Ninja isn't an exclusive developer really. So they don't want the other console owners to starve.
So that more might be exclusive to the 360 for a while, but it will also come to the Ps3. That's for sure.

ya, agreed. Im going to buy gaiden on ps3, and i loved the gaiden on the orginal xbox, so why not make it multiplatform, for all the fans he created?

I honestly think he did that, so that ps3 fans had the story of the first game, before he released gaiden 2 as multiplatform.

Doesn't Team Ninja release a new game every year? If DOAX 2 is released this year they will have to have a game for for 360 next year, which could mean NGS might be coming since it is slated for 2007 and is only 25% complete. TN has promised 5 exclusives for the 360 so they will definitely have something good next year for the 360 when or after NG: Sigma launches.

I can where people are going with this plan to try and get PS3 owners to go over to the 360 but in my opinion, with games like DMC4 and Heavenly Sword I don't think there will be a need to switch. We shall see........

Does anyone realize that this news is purely the words of a 1up author? I guess "confirmed" new is now extended to the words of expert journalists on sites like 1up, Kotaku, and TheInquirer... I'm a reasonable person, and I can see eye to eye with the realistic view that NG2 will be exclusive to XBox360 at least for a year, but to make it seem like a port will never come to the Playstation 3? This article is clearly a pre-emptive blow to try to get as many Playstation fans to believe they are never getting a new Ninja Gaiden game. Until Temco lays down some actual plans on the issue, all I see a journalist trying to prove a point without new backup.

I'm sure Playstation fans are happy with Dante even if Aquanox thinks every Devil May Cry fan looses sleep over not being able to play Ninja Gaiden, and no such occurence exists the other way around.
