I didn't like MNR's style and the looooooooong load times (even in the demo that was 100% on HDD obviously) so i never bought it.
If this is better i might actually pick it up, i could use a racer that girls would play too

3d I can see bringing something to the table, but move support isn't really anything special.

Having two cart racing games on one system is frowned upon but noone has a problem with having 5+ shooters, rpgs, fighters, etc on a system?

Hehe yeah bikes, why not? I guess that would be cool. I've only been playing mario kart for N64 (and SNES back in the day, of course) So I can't argue with you on that one .

So can we also design our own karts from scratch too? That would be mad.

That's just not going to happen. If you think about it logically for a second, you'll easily realize why it won't.

Although changing costumes and stuff would rectify this a little. I think I would have preferred a Kart game with Sony first party charactars. Like how Mario Kart does it

I'm a huge fan of the whole LBP theme/world though, so I have no doubts this will be fun. Blatently gonna have cross-play with Vita, ala WipEout

MNR really sucked IMO. The load times, even after that patch were nearly as long as a race. I hope they address that and the menu UI in this version. If they do, I will buy day one.

i have no doubt this new kart racer will be endless fun... but if the controls are loose like modNR, it's not going to fly w/ me long.

I'm more concerned about the online portion of of this game. Both LBP have suffered from broken online when they first released, they completely loss my purchase after they pulled the same exact broken online when releasing LBP2. I don't know if the attention span at these companies are only .0000000001% but after LBP2 that was it, no more purchases from me when it comes to these developers, they take well over 4 to 5 months to fix a crappy online. Even now I don't know if LBP2 online is any better then when it first came out. I've completely lost faith in MM as a whole just because of this Issue.

"lets just toss the game out there and fix the online portion of the game later on, even though our game relies heavily on online interaction" derp! o.O honestly. I sold LBP2 because after so many months they didn't patch in that problem. to hell with them.

I didn't like ModNation Racers. Long load times, cheap enemy A.I. and a community, for the most part, with some pretty uninspiring kart and level designs. I'm not really excited for this game either. I guess I'm just growing out of kart racing games.

I don't play LittleBigPlanet 2 anymore but, from what I remember, the online portion wasn't bad. It was certainly better than ModNation Racers.

This puts me in 2 minds about buying modnation racers now, as this is more updated and little big planet is the brand behind it theres a good chance it could be better, but then again Mod nation racers is same concept and like 70% less then this gonna come out for

You'd be hard pressed to find 5+ good RPGs on the PS3, besides Kart Racing is one of those niche genres were you only really need one game to cover it...another one IMO are fighting games, don't get the excitement for that genre..they are all the same.
