SourceReleased on the PS1 over a decade ago, The Legend of Dragoon is still considered ad one of the all time best games of its genre. The classic turn based rpg made its PSN debut in Japan nearly two years ago leaving fans overseas to wonder if ( or when ) they can expect a similar release in their region.
If this week’s comments made by Rey Gutierrez on the US PlayStation Blog are any indication perhaps TLoD fans don’t have much longer to wait.
Replying to an inquire concerning the US release of the rpg and if Sony was listening to the calls for the game by its consumers, Gutierrez had this to say:
“Believe me, we listen. We try our very best to please the masses, all good things come in time.”
Not exactly confirmation but Gutierrez’s statement does imply that it’s only a matter of time before The Legend of Dragoon makes its digital appearance in the West.
Never played it, is it good?

Day one purchase. One of the greatest RPG's I've played next to FFVII.

I really hope this is true. I would most likely buy this game on PSN (would be my first) just so I could play it on the go. It truly is an RPG masterpiece. If you haven't picked it up, you've been missing out.

Still remember playing this on 4 discs, everytime you switch continent you have to switch discs!!
It's still a great game tough, a sequel would be nice.Last edited by king87; 02-10-2012 at 14:30.

I own it on PS1, which should work, but awesome for those that dont. For me, Legend of Dragoon was the best PS1 title ever put out. I wish it turned into a franchise.

The game is pretty underrated.
Story is good, solid gameplay, and it has possibly the best graphics for a PlayStation title.Steam & PlayStation Network: BlacksitePSU | 3DS Friend Code: 1349-4916-2054

One of the best RPGs I've played. Great take on turn based battles and a great story. Sony NEEDS to do it justice and make a remake, prequel, sequel...this world is too rich and too vast to abandon

You had me at TLOD!
Seriously, this was one of the best games on the PS1. it's very dated now, as are most PS1 games, but it should still hold up to those who are playing PSP JRPG's. That's what I want it for, to play on my PSP along with Xenogears and Breath of Fire 4. Please Sony, make it happen!Shinei!
