I have a Blu ray drive issue and when I insert a disc it spins up and everything but doesn't read any of them. In the xmb there's no spinning clock on the top right. I have used 3 different kes 400a lasers and none of them changed anything. I have also used different daughter boards and nothing worked. Even file system restore didn't. I don't understand why? What's the problem?

I'm not really too technical but it looks like a new PS3 would be the best option. By the time you replace the laser and put in the hours to fiddle around with it I don't think it will be worth it.
Bring on PlayStation 2013!

That is part 1. There are multiple parts to that video, good luck with that, it seems pretty damn tough.
I've fully stripped down a iphone 4 to replace the rear case and front LCD, I had to remove every single damn component and re-build it again. This though, seems even tougher!
